Really pleased to share this project which has been in the pipeline for a while. 'Bullies and Bystanders' shares some rich and diverse perspectives on very current issues in churches. See more info, and my chapter as an exerpt, here! survivingchurch.org/2026/06/β¦
I am taking a break from social media. The public consumption of horrific trauma as the Epstein files are released is beyond words. I want to witness, but not to raw, unfiltered abuse while I eat my breakfast. Available at [email protected]. Stay safe. R
So angry tonight that two of the young men in tonight's episode of 'The Traitors' have gone through spiritual abuse related to their sexuality. Faith organisations need to proactively reform on this issue. Lives are being ruined. attitude.co.uk/culture/the-tβ¦
Thinking of everyone this Christmas time. May this bring you a little cheer, as it did me. Rebecca.
Please do support Augustine in his important research.
Iβm currently researching psychological safety in the Church of England as part of my doctoral studies π
How safe do people feel to speak honestly, ask questions, and be fully themselves in church life?

A moment for those survivors impacted by Bp Sarah's appointment. I hear the pain and frustration. I know there are issues, and accountability must still be pursued. It is a complex day, and my thoughts are very much with you.
And the misogyny begins ... let us discuss ++ Sarah's appointment on her merits, not her gender, for God's sake!
++Canterbury Designate Sarah took time to mourn with us when Dave died. She is not perfect, but who is? She has taken on a mammoth challenge knowing the personal cost. Knowing some of the concerns of survivors, I cautiously welcome this appointment, looking forward to what next.
When you're trying to finish your conference paper on inclusion and safeguarding, and the Church of England decides after months of silence it might be announcing the new Archbishop of Canterbury two days before you speak ...
One week to go. We'd love to see you there on site or online. Such an important topic, please do share.

At last July's York #generalsynod, Dave and Clive were promoting their new @Sheepfold_Dog project. Since then we have lost them both. I won't be watching Synod this time, but will be thinking of all involved.
Another corker I've had on my shelf for ages and finally got around to. Should be required reading for anyone involved in #faith and #safeguarding.
