May I suggest as a woman of similar age and who loves music of all gens, was an avid Peelie listener in the 80s and who has a lg collection of vinyl etc. etc. you need to tune into BBC 6-Music. I’d start with Radcliffe & Maconie. There’s still some cracking new music out there!!
In fact you can’t. A PhD is research degree and is considered as new material that is a ‘contribution to knowledge.’ It is an in individual led research project that is examined by peers at a high level. Bad wording on the reporting.
