We're now recruiting volunteers diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment #MCI and continue to recruit volunteers with Down syndrome. Please contact Aoife on 📨[email protected] or ☎️+44 28 7012 3416 to take part @UlsterUni @UlsterUniBiomed @QUBelfast @WWIEM_QUB @alzheimerssoc
I've recently started cycling this route to work and the conditions are terrible! An extremely busy junction/area, with no cycle or bus lanes meaning you have to merge with heavy traffic to pass through. Thoughts are with Mr McMahon's family 🙏🏼

More education to the wider public is required too. The amount of people who park in the few cycles lanes that exist is ridiculous meaning cyclists have to merge into extremely busy traffic lanes during rush hour.
If you have a child who wears glasses, could you please fill out the questionnaire below? We are trying to understand why children find it difficult to wear their glasses and are particularly interested to hear from parents/kids with learning disabilities!

ALT Orange background with text which reads "Does your child need to wear glasses? Is it difficult for them to wear glasses? We want to hear from you! Scan the QR code or follow the link below for more information to complete the questionnaire - it should take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete!"

ALT Image with text which reads "Questionnaire link: https://forms.office.com/e/xuFYip016c" On the left hand side of the image is a child wearing glasses who is cheering. She has an orange and white striped top. On the right hand side is a red text box which reads "Completed questionnaires can enter a draw to win a £100 Amazon voucher". Below this is a logo for Queen's University Belfast.
We hope to use the results of this work to develop interventions to help and support children with and without learning disabilities wear their glasses more. Your help is greatly appreciated! 🙏

We did Final Year Projects differently this year - Optometry students displayed their projects in poster format and presented them to their peers & lecturers. It felt like our own little conference and provided a lovely opportunity for the students to showcase their hard work! 🤩

Great article by @GarethHanna11 for those considering their A Level choices. Remember this is one of the only times in your life where you will have time to dedicate to studying so choose something you enjoy and that is important to you before the responsibilities of life set in!
"In which subjects are you going to learn things that will stay with you forever?
"If I could go back now, the first subject on my list would be a language..."
