I had my first quick check in to the weekly M17 net this Friday. Modified MD-UV380 handheld for TX/RX running @OpenRtx firmware, LimeSDR mini as the RF to Internet gateway for the M17-17 C reflector. I had to recompile my code minutes before the net with the right callsigns.

More experiments with M17. This time I am receiving M17 using a LimeSDR running my own code. The transmitter is using software from the OpenRTX project which is running on an inexpensive TYT MD-UV380 handheld.

Pavel, you are so behind the times :-) How about entirely reverse engineering a commercial radio so that @OpenRtx Open Source firmware can be installed on it, and you can run CODEC2 Open Source digital voice using the protocol of the @m17_project ! See openrtx.org/#/mduv380_mods .
