You can listen to what the Church has said on the matter, though. mormonnewsroom.org/article/i… “The Church supports a balanced and civil approach to a challenging problem, fully consistent with its tradition of compassion, its reverence for family, and its commitment to law.”

There is no comeback or argument against this, this is THE hottest and final take on the matter 🔥 xitter.cf/onlymormons/status/100…
Mormons: Families can be together forever. A family is the most important unit in the world, and we need to strengthen that bond any way we can. Certain Mormons: lmao if you didn’t want to be separated from your parents maybe you shouldn’t have let them come in illegally

Although I am a Buddhist monk, I am skeptical that prayers alone will achieve world peace. We need instead to be enthusiastic and self-confident in taking action.

One of the most important tenants of this church’s history is genealogy, so you really can’t say “slavery happened hundreds of years ago, get over it!” when slave-owners irreversibly blotted out family history, essentially blocking millilns of souls from getting their covenants.

I think about this so much and it makes me so sad. Slavery happened for thousands of years all over the world, the effects are irreversible, at least in this life. I wish there was something I could do more than just wait. xitter.cf/onlymormons/status/952…

And in case you aren’t aware, slave owners destroyed all records of their slaves’ ancestors and changed their last names to the slave owner’s. Family history now leads to the slave owner’s ancestors instead of their real ancestors. It’s sickening.
