Alberta’s workers, families and investors deserve certainty—not a system in which a change of government in Ottawa can suddenly change our economic future. Option 2 gives Alberta leverage to pursue stable rules, secure market access and lasting constitutional protection.

With 30,000 people WORKING for a Pattison organization - when you count spouses & children & parents - @Dave_Eby just kicked upwards of 200,000 people in the ass (or nuts) while they live / work / play / build / enjoy / invest in BC. Clearly his boss @AviLewis should spank him.
Former NDP Premier Ujjal Dosanjh:"You're not going to be able to feed families by denigrating one of the major wealth creators and wealth generators of British Columbia." Note: the Pattison group employs 30,000 workers in BC

Too many people in Eastern and Central Canada don't understand the very real grievances that Alberta has. They don't get addressed. They are dismissed. This is part of why we are headed towards a referendum on exploring separation. Try listening to them.
Can anyway defend this allocation of Senate seats as fair and equitable? If yes - your IQ is at most 80. Shucks. If no - please engage in improving how Canada can move forward. Fair and equitable governance means we are rebuilding a great nation - not patronizing parts.

I'm nominating David Eby for Alberta Business Booster of the Year! 🥇 If he wins, this👇will give BC the highest marginal tax rates in North America, prompting lots of high income British Columbians to move to Alberta and / or shift their income here. That includes a lot of the doctors he's trying to recruit. (Reminder: the top 1% of income earners in Canada already pay 22% of income taxes.)
NEW - @Dave_Eby says he will create a new tax bracket on people who earn more than $1m annually, to tax the wealthiest British Columbians to help pay for health care costs.

Kate Harrison is the only adult in the room
🧑‍🏭 Hundreds of thousands of jobs are hanging in the balance due to the trade war. 0⃣ We have no clue what our government is doing. 🚫 No plan, no comms, no progress reports (Advisory Committee?), what tariff rates would be acceptable, nothing. Just a vague "good deal" promised. 🙈 The most important issue facing our country & we're in the dark. 🦗 🇨🇦 media isn't holding the Liberals to account. News items on small & medium sized business impacts have dried up. Deflection articles rule. The Jobs report is out on Oct 9. ✅ @KatlynHarrison "We need to have an adult conversation (in the media)..." 🙄 Perhaps a 🇺🇸 media outlet will fill us in. Thx @cbcwatcher

Government responsible for wasteful spending, poor economic growth and increasing BC's deficit says they didn't mean it like that and would takesies backsies if re-elected. #bcpoli
BC NDP leader David Eby says his party would end wasteful spending and grow the economy to reduce BC’s deficit, and suggests the BC Conservatives would rely on cuts: “Is this the moment to cut those services that British Columbians depend on? I just disagree with that.”

All good points from @ConradMBlack
Prime Minister Carney’s address to the European Parliament in Strasbourg rested on several foundational errors. The claim that freedom was won “thanks to the heroism of the European resistance” is historically false. Western Europe was liberated by the armed forces of the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. The subsequent emancipation of the Soviet empire was the product of the American strategy of containment. Canada’s role was particularly notable: a volunteer force from a country that had never been attacked or threatened by the Axis powers. The European institutions have succeeded in reducing internal economic barriers and managing inter-state cooperation. As an economic administration, however, they have not been a success at all. In 2008 the GDP of Europe and the United States were roughly equal; the United States now stands at 140 percent of the EU’s. Much of this relative decline is attributable to the prolonged suppression of fossil fuels—an agenda Carney himself promoted for years. Carney also omitted the decisive commercial reality: Canada sends roughly 70 percent of its exports to the United States (98% of which is unaffected by the recent tariffs) and only 6 percent to Europe. The United States accounts for half of the Canadian economy; Canada accounts for three percent of theirs. These proportions are not altered by elaborate metaphors about the transplantation of trees between Vimy and Milliken. Until Canada recovers the relative prosperity it enjoyed with the United States a decade ago, there is little strategic sense in the prime minister travelling to the Rhine to deliver a wistful reflection on the failure of Canada and Europe to produce a superior political ethos while remaining economically competitive.

Congratulations, Carney! You found Ottawa’s oldest trick: if the deficit looks bad, move spending into the “capital” column and call it “investment”. But hey: $65 billion deficit this year, $1.27 trillion in debt, and the “operating budget” is balanced. Genius!

Eleven years of Liberal governments. Here’s what happened to the cost of living. Since August 2015, overall prices in Canada are up 33%. Food is up 44%. Shelter is up 43%. Transportation is up 45%. The average home sold for $433,367 in August 2015. In August 2026, it sold for $668,219. That’s almost $235,000 more. If you earn enough to hit the annual limits, maximum CPP and EI deductions have climbed from $3,410.55 to $5,769.52. That’s $2,358.97 more coming off your paycheque each year. You work harder, pay more for the basics, and wonder how your kids will ever afford a house. So why do the Liberals keep dragging everyone into fights over pronouns and the wedge issue of the week? Because while we’re fighting each other, we’re not holding them accountable for what life costs after eleven years in power.

Let me get this straight… the media now wants you to believe there is a legitimate threat of Canada being invaded militarily by President Trump & the U.S.A… And that same media wants you to believe that Mark Carney is a hero for bringing war to the country because he told Trump that speaking French is important, even though trumps team said they don’t care what language Canadians speak? Premium, grade-A clickbait right here. 😂 The craziest part is that that’s not even what Carney said…

I’m wondering since Mark Carney hired a Democrat American as COO would they plant this “Military Invasion”against Canada story to try and interfere with The US Midterms??
Liberal Defence McGuinty says Canadians should take the idea of a U.S. military invasion as a "tail risk."

Because the goal isn’t to get back to the table and get a trade deal, ditch the tariffs and rebuild our economy. The goal is to create fear porn erotica for liberal boomers and gain political support 🇨🇦
Peter McKay on Carney's talk of invasion plans with the NYT "I don't think that this is going to move the dial one bit in terms of trying to get Canada back to the trade talks" "So I don't know what domestic political gain was intended here, if at all. But I really find this entire episode quite strange and certainly, in my view, unhelpful in terms of dealing with these trade tariff issues." @PeterMacKay

“Carney prepared for ‘risk’ that Trump might order US-led military invasion of Canada” PEAK propaganda. Of EPIC proportions from the Liberal party & promoted by the CTV. CTV is a billion dollar rage baiter that keep the Liberals in power. It’s their whole business model.
