A quick update - couple of challenges overlooked - doing radiation in the next week - along with an appropriate hormone blocking drug - to deal with two prostate cancer tumours - my sixth round of this cancer in the last 25 years - a manageable process.
Still challenging - foot drop / nerve damage - working on pretty cool frequency / magnetic / energy based protocols to help with function and hopefully recovery.
Treatment? Am totally onside with plans. Walking with a cane? Am not enjoying - but certainly believing in the future. Am a very happy camper (ie grandpa for 9!)
My update - turning 70 in a year today - you can do the math - am rather looking forward to the decade ahead.
Health update - I wrapped recovery from a stroke 2 years ago this week - and then managed to join a very exclusive "double ostomy" club (less than ten thousand in Canada I am told) during 2025.
Bumping along well now - so let's roll!

The 8/8/8 Alberta Tax proposal.
Proud of this work with Ken Boessenkool @KenBoessenkool and Trevor Toombe @trevortombe
The plan is to implement:
8pc corporate tax rate
8pc personal income tax
8pc GST/PST
- In 2019 Alberta cut the corporate rate from 12 to 8. Within 3 years we were making more revenue at the lower tax rate.
Companies earned more and invested more. Jobs and the economy grew faster and more revenue was earned by the govt on the lower rate because of the expanded economic activity.
8pc personal income tax is a huge opportunity to create a similar expansive economic growth for Alberta families to take home more to save, spend and invest.
An 8pc blended (5pc GST + 3pc PST)
will add the consumption tax contributions of millions of tourists and business travellers to offset the lower personal rate to Albertans.

For the record @adidas I will be tossing anything I own that YOU sold me over the last many decades. And will never ever go near your products ever again.
There. You are happy. And I am grumpy but moving on.

On the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, my thoughts remain with all those who lost loved ones on that terrible day. We honour the victims, the courage of the first responders, and all who have sacrificed in the defence of our freedom and security.

Pierre Poilievre's U.S. media tour was a major success.
On CNBC's Squawk Box, Poilievre made the Canadian case for tariff-free trade and elicited support from Joe Kernen, the show's most pro-Trump panellist, who said, "It doesn't make sense" to attack Canada.
On Fox Business Network, Poilievre elicited public support from Larry Kudlow, Trump's former Director of the National Economic Council, to drop tariffs on Canada.
Both programs are heavily watched by administration officials and American business leaders because the hosts are trusted individuals.
Pierre Poilievre was able to strategically elicit public endorsements of Canada's trade position from American TV hosts on some of the largest broadcasts in the country. Trump's trusted broadcasters just endorsed Canada's position.
Total Team Canada Victory.

Twenty-five years ago today, the world witnessed the deadliest terrorist attack in human history, which took nearly 3,000 innocent lives, including those of 24 Canadians. In the years that followed, thousands more would lose their lives to illnesses linked to the attacks.
Today, Alberta joins people across Canada, the United States, and around the world in remembering those who were taken from us, the families who still carry their loss, and the first responders whose extraordinary courage saved countless lives.
Twenty-five years later, we’re reminded of the compassion and friendship that have long united Canada and the United States. We remember the Canadians who opened their homes and communities to thousands of stranded travellers, and the thousands of brave Canadians who answered the call to defend our country and our allies in the War on Terror, especially the 158 Canadian Armed Forces members who lost their lives.
We have always stood and will continue to stand side by side with our American neighbours in times of need, and as friends and allies, we remain resolute in defending the freedoms and values that terrorism sought to attack.
We will always remember.
Yesterday.
9/11
Happened to be my fathers DOB
And my own first round of cancer treatments that week
And one of the worst dates ever for of North America to sadly remember and recognize…
Former Canada Prime Minister Jean Chrétien: "I have message for American friends...never mistake our generosity for weakness. Never mistake our tolerance for lack of determination. And never, never mistake our kindness for softness...We bow to no one."

I'm all for sincere efforts to preserve and transmit indigenous languages.
As Premier, I funded efforts to teach Blackfoot and Cree.
But this👇 kind of pointless and potentially dangerous virtue signalling sets back the cause of indigenous languages.
Indigenous languages were oral, not written. The orthographic systems were generally developed by missionaries and colonial officials, so are literally an extension of colonialism.
Moreover, virtually no one can read these languages, apart from a handful of academics.
This kind of parodic symbolism sets back the cause of real reconciliation, while creating a completely unnecessary public safety hazard.

Jeez, doc. You may want to check yourself for a fever because you’re serving up hot take after hot take today. If your litmus test for patriotism is whether or not somebody vacations in the United States, I sincerely have to question your judgment.
Our Prime Minister‘s kids go to school in the United States. I’m pretty sure he holds positions in a great many American companies in his personal portfolio. And when he told all of us to vacation in Canada, he went to Italy.
None of that has anything to do with his patriotism, which I absolutely do not question.
It’s OK to not like somebody and just leave it there. Ratcheting it up with slurs and libels doesn’t get us to where we need to go.
Because Premier Smith isn't a loyal Canadian. She's a right-wing populist. She's MAGA. She doesn't give a damn about the average Albertan or the average Canadian. Smith is out of synch with Canadians, and Albertans.

Delighted to see our Minister @AdrianaLaGrange step up to celebrate Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
Also delighted to participate in this video - in part as I have been successfully treated for prostate cancer six times - the recurrent nature of this disease is frustrating. But I am living with it.
Regardless of where you live - please watch this video - and please ensure that men you are or you know - are all getting PSA (blood work) by age 40. Yup 40.

Yup. I share this perspective knowing virtually ALL Canadians & Americans want to work together.
Fair. Respectful. Engaging.
Neither Trump nor Ford seem to understand the importance of a relationship.
I doubt their wives are happy.
Thx to Premiers #ScottMoe #DanielleSmith
