Replying to @MyWoolwich
My hope is that the rest of the country elect a government able to bring about the necessary changes and create the conditions for economic regeneration in Woolwich. We are reliant on this as London will obviously vote only one way. As things stand expect further decline

Guerrilla gardened 36 primrose plants into the strip by Haseltine Primary and Stanton Way. Also sowed some shady / woodland wildflower seeds. #bellgreen #se26 #bellingham #guerrillagardening #communityanarchist

Yep…. As suspected. Yet another crappy luggage and general houseware store is coming to #WoolwichHighStreet. Same as the one opposite and many others. So many questions inc how can they afford the rent?! #Woolwich #PowisStreet
Walked past the store the other day, I have a horrible suspicion that the old WHSmiths will be (yet another) crappy luggage and general houseware store. What are the landlords (#BritishLand) doing!? Wasters. #Woolwich #PowisStreet #WoolwichHighStreet

Please can something be done about the vile people who do this? This is right outside the @SladeLibrary this location has long suffered from ASB, dealing etc as there is no police or warden presence @SaferGreenwich @MPSPlumstead

Seeing increasing numbers of unfolded bikes being taken on the Elizabeth Line at peak times. Why do the staff not intervene? Its inconvenient and potentially dangerous on busy trains #elizabethline

MyWoolwich is doing what the council and elected representatives fail to do. We should be looking to improve the retail offerings in the high street to justify the money spent. If they can't do this in Woolwich Town Centre what hope for Plumstead Common?

Update: Rubbish still in situ and as predicted its growing...also a ramshackle rented property opposite has an overflowing bin, rubbish everywhere. Happens regularly with no action taken against the tenants or landlord. #Notgettingthingsdone

Saw all the usual dross double gating at Woolwich Elizabeth Line station on the way home. I wonder what the data would show if these gates were monitored for a month? πŸ€” The offender breakdown might help focus enforcement activity @TfL people are tired of subsidising wasters!

2 weeks on...nothing heard. @Royal_Greenwich please can you clear the flytip at Mountbatten Close SE18? By all means charge to L&Q, but please don't leave it as the pile is growing!
Hi πŸ‘‹πŸ» @Royal_Greenwich please can you raise a job to clean up Mountbatten Close SE18 and the adjacent green? Its a complete mess again. Sadly the result of low quality people dumped locally and the poor decision to allow a private road at the location

These figures tell you all you need to know about why Plumstead and Greenwich Borough as a whole needs to seek a more sustainable, balanced social mix. We are crippled by benefits culture. E&T constituency 20th out of 575!

At this point the funfair at Plumstead Common is just operating for show to justify its subsidised camping pitch. Huge vehicles and generators pumping out diesel emissions for hours on end β›½ so much for the "climate emergency" 2+ weeks of this eyesore for no reason! Its empty!

Loads of dross streaming out of Woolwich Elizabeth Line station tailgating through the assistance gates @tfl is facial recognition software bring used here? @BTP these people will be known for more than fare evasion. A visible deterrent is essential here, maybe dog units?

I saw why this happens...the "begging hands" method at Paddington, people being let through due to passive aggressive intimidation @tfl please ask staff not to do this, it compromises other staff and passengers #elizabethline

With respect @Royal_Greenwich please can you not allow the funfair to camp on Plumstead Common for 2+ weeks again. To do this during term time for this extended period is frankly ridiculous. @GreenGreenwich this is not fair on hard pressed parents or the environment

There was no engagement from RBG - it's clear the "funfair" at Plumstead Common is just subsidised camping at our expense. Pollution, litter, environmental damage...thanks, great deal πŸ‘πŸ» generators belching out diesel fumes doesn't fit with RBG's climate emergency rhetoric
I do hope the fees paid (if any) by the "funfair" will cover cleaning due to the increase in litter not to mention the damage to the common itself @Royal_Greenwich this is just a way of legitimising camping on the common. Its bad enough being at woolwich common so frequently

London councils acknowledging what we already know - communities are being hollowed out by HMO proliferation caused by inadequate protections. Does this need further legislation? Are councils using the powers they have? Zero faith in our MPs or Government in fixing this
School closures can be a disruptive experience for children, families and staff. In our recent report, headteachers described the process as "traumatic". London's ongoing decline in pupil numbers means boroughs increasingly face tough decisions about the future of schools.
