An Afghan family of 8 in Croydon. I was told they were advised by Croydon to rent privately from Choices estate agents. Mum and 2 brothers sleep on the floor including one of them suffering with mental health. Nothing will be done until they are made ‘homeless’ I was told🤦🏽♂️👇🏽🧵

We must remember the physical & mental sacrifices made by our service personnel & their families, in war, in peace and in retirement.
We must also remember what this sacrifice is for, peace, justice, freedom and to one day have a world with no war.
Lest we forget.

Volunteers were central to relief efforts through the pandemic. Over 4,000 people signed up via @CroydonCovidMA alone. It does not bear thinking about what would have been were it not for dedicated selfless volunteers.
This is not how you reward that effort.
Do the right thing.
