When I was a teacher, my students and I always took time this month to honor the generations of Black Americans who fought against injustice to achieve equal rights. May we all reflect on our past as we continue working to build a society that lives up to its democratic ideals.

We're celebrating some wonderful news! It's now illegal to sell, grow, or plant Callery pear (aka Bradford pear) in Ohio because of its invasive qualities and likelihood to cause economic or environmental harm. Learn more about Callery pear here: bit.ly/3j5toaD #odnr

Many thanks to everyone involved! The first one for us here at Snapdragon and all those involved made it as seemless as possible even with a few bumps. Even more importantly, THANK YOU to @paradis_austin for holding it down when I was with family during this week.

Average foursome -- 500 foot prints. Lets say 120 golfers per day or 30 foursomes. 30 x 500 foot prints = 15,000 for one day on one green. WOW! – at Mount Dora, FL

Good luck to the Eagles and 49ers today. I just want to say “Hell of a job” to Tony, Eddie and the rest of the @Eagles crew not only for this game, but all season. They always do great work. I’m proud that both Championship games will be on natural grass.

It’s been a crazy year. We have gone from over 100* in August to -8 in December. We have had 11 games with the 12th being the 5th straight AFCC. Thankful for my crew and all the work that has gone into getting us through the season. They are the BEST! We have learned so much!

When the @Chiefs and @Chargers take the field today at Arrowhead Stadium, they will play on grass developed with @USGA funding. Our investment in turfgrass research has positive impacts that go well beyond the golf course.

To develop the next generation OSU putting green type bermudagrass with improved freeze tolerance, we test them in the freeze chamber. The impact of raising mowing height on their freeze tolerance will also be quantified. @wu_yanqi We kill grass, hopefully so you don’t have to.

So sad to hear that Jim Turner with @TargetSpecProd and @TurfFuel was killed in a car wreck this week. I had worked with Jim over the last couple of years and he was a real gentleman. Prayers to his family and a big loss for the turf industry…
