Thanks for visiting us!
Visit to the @OKIRCOG in Cincinnati, learning how Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana work across state boundaries to plan transportation, infrastructure, and regional development.
It was a great experience seeing how different communities and departments can come together, share what they need, and find practical ways to move forward together.
OKI's David Shuey, Director of Information Systems and Analytics, and Rachel Stuckey, GIS Analyst, presented at the Kentucky GIS Conference in Lexington, Kentucky last week.
Great job David and Rachel!

The moment you step out of your vehicle, you become a pedestrian. 🚶➡️
For October's National Pedestrian Safety Month, we're reminding everyone that safety is a 2-way street:
👁️ Drivers: Scan crosswalks and stay focused — put the phone away.
👟 Pedestrians: Stay visible, use crosswalks and look both ways before stepping off the curb.
Rain is in the forecast for many parts of the country this week. ⛈️
When you're behind the wheel, slow down and adjust your speed for the conditions. Increase your following distance and give yourself more time to stop. ⤵️

The deer are back, and they still be deering! 👀
Deer are especially active from October through December, particularly around dawn and dusk. Slow down, stay alert, and keep your eyes on the road.
Remember: If you see one deer, there may be more behind it.
