A very important Nobel Peace Prize.Navi Pillay has devoted her life to human rights, justice and international law – from the struggle against apartheid to seeking justice after the Rwandan genocide and investigating the violations of int law in Palestine.

Today we remember all civilians killed over the last 3 years. Civilians must never be targets. Breaches of international law are never acceptable. Those responsible must be held accountable. #Oct7th

☢️ Nuclear weapons belong in the past.
Nine states possess around 12,300 nuclear weapons, while around US$100 billion is spent on them every year.
Yet workers are told there isn’t enough money for decent jobs, public services, climate action, peace and development.
On the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, the global trade union movement is clear: our resources should build security for people — decent work, social justice, peace and a liveable planet — not fuel the threat of nuclear annihilation.
🕊️ Disarm. Divest. Invest in humanity.

The extensive crackdown on LGBTQ+ organisations and human rights defenders in Türkiye is deeply alarming and unacceptable. The Swedish Government and the EU Commission must respond clearly and stand up for those affected. @SweMFA @kajakallas @OErnerot

Democracy is more than elections. It is people having the power to organise, make their voices heard and shape the decisions that affect their lives.
On #DemocracyDay, we stand with those strengthening democracy from the ground up. 🌍

23 years ago, Sweden lost Anna Lindh. A courageous internationalist who stood up for democracy, human rights, peace and solidarity. At a time when these values are under pressure, we would need her voice more than ever.

UNEP now warns warming reaching around 1.8°C even in the best-case scenario. This is not a reason to give up. It is a reason to act – faster and fairer. Cut emissions, scale up climate finance and put workers and a just transition at the centre.

Most Swedish parties support EU sanctions against Israeli ministers and officials responsible for serious violations of international law. The political support is there. Now the gov must start to push harder to turn words into action.
