Workers and communities want stronger protections from corporate abuse✊️ ➡️ buff.ly/48WT3HT The Global Unions welcome progress towards a legally binding UN treaty on business and human rights, but warned that the next draft must guarantee strong protections for workers and communities. “Multinational companies must no longer be allowed to exploit gaps between national laws and international obligations to escape accountability.” 🗣️ ITUC General Secretary Luc Triangle @ituc_africa @itucasiapacific @csa_tuca @etuc_ces @luc_triangle @manzieric65 @jordaniaurena04

"Being a lawyer and a judge, I still want to verify this information." Navi Pillay – newly awarded peace laureate – didn't yet believe she had actually been awarded a Nobel Prize, standing in the courtroom where the Nuremberg trials took place. She told the room, "I think it's very appropriate that I'm with friends and colleagues, all of whom support human rights." Join us in congratulating our 2026 Nobel Peace Prize laureate!

3/ As international law is challenged and institutions come under attack, this year's Nobel Peace Prize sends a clear message: no one is above the law. Lasting peace requires respect for human rights, strong international institutions and accountability.
