Shane gillis's girlfriend and her immediate response to the controversy caused by some of his recent comments should be an example to all men.
Stop giving women unfettered access to your life and your resources. As men we expect gratitude and loyalty.
Modern women will give you neither of those. Make them earn their place in your life and test them repeatedly. If they fail the test you have two choices. Try to correct them or fire them immediately.
If you have to correct them more than once for the same thing fire them.
It sounds cold. It sounds harsh but in the long run it will save you a lot of trouble.

The Blue Jackets are named after the Union Soldiers that fought in the Civil War to end Slavery. Blue Jacket is another way of saying Union Army just like how you call the British the Red Coats. The Blue Jackets name celebrates Ohio major contributions to winning the Civil War. Most of the Clothing the Union Army wore was made in Ohio. A good chunk of the Union Soldiers that fought for the Union Army came from Ohio. Ulysses S Grant and William Tecumseh Sherman two of the best generals in American history came from Ohio. America does not win the Civil War without Ohio. The Blue Jackets' name is awesome and original.

Bob Uecker spent 54 seasons in the Milwaukee Brewers radio booth.
The most famous pennant call of his life was a fake one, in a movie.
Last night his replacement used it for the real thing.
Here is the whole thing.
Jackson Chourio caught the last out and Jeff Levering said this on WTMJ.
"The Brewers win the pennant! Oh my God, the Brewers win the pennant!"
Then, "The World Series will go through Wisconsin!"
Now here is why Wisconsin lost it.
Uecker played Harry Doyle in Major League. The announcer. He has a line in that movie, when the team finally wins the pennant, and the line is oh my God.
That movie was filmed in Milwaukee.
So the most quoted pennant call Bob Uecker ever made was for a team he did not work for, in a city he was not in, for a championship that never happened.
Now here is the man himself.
Before the booth he was a catcher. He played 297 games in the big leagues and hit .200. Fourteen home runs. Total.
He won a ring in St. Louis as the backup catcher, which means he has a World Series ring and almost no World Series.
He built an entire second life out of being bad at baseball. Harry Doyle. Mr. Belvedere. The Tonight Show. The beer ads.
And 54 seasons on the radio in Milwaukee.
Here is the part that stops you.
He was already the Brewers announcer the last time this team won a pennant. That was 44 years ago, in his twelfth season.
He did 42 more after that one. He never got another.
He kept working while he was sick for the last two years of it. He was in the clubhouse for the division clinch in his final September.
He passed away about 21 months ago, at 90 years old.
Here is what Levering said afterward.
"I'm still trying to pinch myself because I'm pretty sure I blacked out as soon as that third out was made."
He said he had nothing written down.
"I didn't script anything." And then, "I felt what I felt."
And then this.
"It always goes to Bob. We felt him with us all night."
The team put out one line of its own. Dedicating this pennant to Mr. Baseball.
Now the honest part. He did get one. He was in that booth for the last pennant and he got to call it, so this is not a man who never saw it happen. And Milwaukee won this thing without him.
But he spent 42 more seasons waiting on another one, and the pennant call everybody can recite was something he made up in a movie.
Last night a guy who grew up listening to him said it out loud, and meant it.

This is by far the most chill I’ve been after a playoff loss in this run. 3 championships in 6 years, with 2 back to back, is incredible. It’s a far cry from being crushed because you wanted it so bad.
Things are about to pick up speed for you. Substantially. I can feel it. Can you feel it too?
What was once in your way, has stepped aside.
What was once barricaded off, has now been opened.
What wouldn’t budge, has left all on its own.
Out with the old
And in with the new.

4. Your immune system doesn't know you have eyes. Otherwise, it would attack them and make you blind. Injuring one eye can introduce eye bits to the bloodstream and basically give your immune system the knowledge of having eyes. Then it might decide it really fucking hates that and attack your non-injured eye.

8. That ringing in silence isn't silence. When everything is quiet and you hear a faint ringing? That's your brain listening to its own nervous system. You are hearing yourself functioning.
9. You will never experience your own death. You only experience approaching it... Then nothing. Everyone else gets closure, stories, funerals, and memories. You don't. You never know you've become a memory. From your perspective, the story just stops mid-sentence.

Even though I grew up in Orange County, CA I still learn new things about its history every day.
Over the decades here, I've had 3 different jobs off of "Red Hill Avenue" which goes from the North Tustin hills all the way down to 73 toll road, after which it turns into Santa Ana Avenue.
But I never knew why it was called "Red Hill".
The name is because of an actual 347' hill not too far from the Northern terminus of Red Hill, so named because of the high amounts of Cinnabarite (Mercury Sulfide) which turns the rocks and surrounding soil a dark red color, and even affects the color of the flora that grows on the hill.
These days it's surrounded by some of the most expensive homes in Tustin Hills, but in the 1800s when this was all ranch land, it was a significant geographic feature that represented the border of many famous Ranches in Orange County. It was also used as a "quicksilver" (Mercury) mine for decades from the 1860s all the way through World War II.
It's had other names too. The Spanish called it Cerro Colorado (Red Hill) or Cerrito de las Renas (Hill of the frogs because there was a large frog population there).
It was also for a time called "Rattlesnake Hill" (for obvious reasons) which is a way cooler name than "Red Hill" - Imagine if Red Hill Avenue were Rattlesnake Hill Avenue.
Fascinating to finallly connect the name of a popular avenue I've driven so many times with its history.

Never gaslight yourself that your path isn't "right"
Your path will look so astronomically different than the 'standard little slow rise of the average castrated existence' that YOUR path would fucking LAUGH at any other rendition of normality that was ever compared to it
you think because your shit looks different that it's *wrong*. No. the other fake shit is wrong. Your shit should look WILDLY unique, with MANY "that makes zero fucking sense" arcs built in, that you rise out of & beyond, because it's YOUR mission, in YOUR lane, doing YOUR OWN SHIT
Let go of the need to compare your path to any other, imaginary, "should" path. Realize the "should" path DOES NOT EXIST, especially now, as society does not exist & nothing you were told growing up exists
LET IT GO. Now move.
