Let’s get to know her... ❓Tell us about your world outside work! 🗨️ I am from El Paso, IL. I’ve been married for 36 years, and we operate a fourth-generation cattle farm. I’m a proud mom of 4 great kids; 3 are married and my youngest is still single. I’m also a proud grandma to Tritt, who is 5 years old. I enjoy gardening, reading, and spending time with family and friends. ❓How long have you worked in transportation, and how did you get started? 🗨️ I have worked in transportation for a long time. I started at Nu Way and worked there for 15 years, then moved to RJR Transportation 6 years ago to take advantage of the short drive and the ability to care for my aging mom. Transportation wasn’t something I saw myself doing all those years ago, but I have enjoyed learning the business and working with different customers, different accounts, and all the drivers I have met over the years. ❓Do you have any pets? Tell us about them! 🗨️ I do have pets (my husband would say too many)! I raise Pembroke Welsh Corgis, and he jokes that we have a Corgi farm instead of a cattle farm. I am excited about this opportunity here at Nussbaum and so appreciate the warm welcome I have received. I can honestly say that the Nussbaum environment is something I have not experienced before at any other transportation company. Let’s get to know him! ❓ What led you to pursue an internship, and why Nussbaum? 🗨️ My love for diesel motors and complex powertrain systems has really pushed me to want to become a technician. I originally found Nussbaum through a coworker, took a tour, and loved everything about it! ❓ What do you enjoy doing outside of work? 🗨️ Outside of work, I still love working on motors and other equipment. I also ride dirt bikes and quads and hang out with my buddies. ❓ Describe your ideal weekend! 🗨️ My ideal weekend is a mix of relaxing and being productive, like cleaning out my truck or knocking out some small side gigs.
