NEW Zealand captain James Fisher-Harris yesterday made reference to the infamous 2006 clash between Willie Mason and David Kidwell and when asked if such mayhem was still possible, replied: "I hope so".

Aus v NZ, terrific physicality and skills but some errors in this opening game. How will these two teams click/improve after their 'training' games against Fiji and Cook Islands???

Game well and truely on, Aus v NZ, fantastic pace and skills #RLWC on Premier Sports now.
Stunning opening try for the #RLWC on Premier Sports now. 4 weeks of the greatest game to follow.
Yes yet another SMALL change of no significance. Now what about all the extra tax your lazy government is milking from the high prices????
I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.
The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.
But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.
That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.
It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.
By hell.... a black hole if ever there was one
Uk still liable for 5.3bn of mostly EU staff pensions. Goodness only knows what the liability would be had we remained in the EU.
Greatest benefit ever for all politicians is their lifetime pensions. Paid by oh yes pensioners here, many on a state pension, now under threat.

The EU did not charge the UK an exit fee or fine. Under the Withdrawal Agreement, the UK agreed a financial settlement for commitments it had already made as a member. The current official estimate of that settlement is about £30.9 billion net.
HM Treasury’s European Union Finances Statement 2025 (laid before Parliament in March 2026) puts the figures as follows:
Total net value of the settlement since the UK left EU membership in February 2020: £30.9 billion
Paid by the end of December 2025: £25.7 billion
Still outstanding: about £5.3 billion, mostly EU staff pension liabilities, payable in small amounts out to 2065
Those numbers are net. The UK also receives money back — for example its paid-in capital in the European Investment Bank — which reduces the gross amount transferred to Brussels.
Earlier estimates were higher and moved around. The original UK range was roughly £35–39 billion. In 2022 the Treasury revised its own figure up to about £42.5 billion after a higher valuation of EU pension liabilities. EU auditors have at times quoted larger euro totals. The latest Treasury point estimate for the settlement itself is the £30.9 billion net figure above.
Some wider totals also include the Article 50 extension period (April 2019 to January 2020), when the UK was still a member and kept paying into the EU budget. Treasury tables put that extra net cost at about £6.9 billion, which lifts a broader “point estimate” to around £37.9 billion.
A must read brief....

Thing is every person should exercise their vote in an election. If you dont and others do the outcome is unlikely to be what you want.
