It has been an absolute pleasure to work with you guys in delivering bee ID workshops and has left me with a deep love of the North Pennines AONB. Thanks so much for all your support and good luck withe future plans. Hope I can get up there again soon.
With the CBS project at an end, we want to say a HUGE thank you to all our volunteers, & everyone who gave time to the project. Without you, we would never have achieved as much as we did in 5 years. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Happy invertebrate hunting! 🕷️🦋🐌🐞🐝
The wait is over! The Bumblebees of North East England is out now. A first of its kind, it provides an overview of the 22 #bumblebee species found here. This was only possible with the data submitted by you recorders. Well done everyone! bit.ly/36ZaBCc @NEE_Naturalist

I was quite taken by this beautiful little Stigmella tityrella mine in a beech leaf this weekend. The 'green island' is caused by the caterpillar delaying senescence by manipulating cytokinin levels, probably with the assistance of symbiotic bacteria!
Join @AllenvalleyWild on Tues 12 Nov for an evening of water voles, with Kelly Hollings of @NorthWildlife. @WeardaleWild @NEE_Naturalist
