In a study published in @ScienceTM, we had shown that early HBVV was associated with Type 2 immune polarization.
Type 2 immune polarization is associated with cardiopulmonary disease in preterm infants pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3538…
More data on early HBVV & risk of BPD coming soon.

Do you prescribe the birth dose of Hepatitis B vaccine in preterm infants?
New study in @Vaccines_MDPI confirms the lack of evidence around its safety (esp long term) in preterm infants (esp very preterm). mdpi.com/2076-393X/12/3/261
Why did we study this?
