I won't keep answering repeated questions. I don't defend Myanmar, Thailand, or GMMTV. I stand for fairness and honesty, not people who twist issues for personal gain. I support both Myanmar and Lanna. I urge GMMTV to credit the true cultural origins.

GMMTV must take responsibility for this...
5.) Last, I formed this view after reading tweets from native Lanna people who spoke up: How is it praising Lanna culture to misrepresent its heritage? • It obscures Lanna's distinct cultural identity. • It uses historical Burmese attire without proper credit.

That’s exactly the point I mentioned earlier. Using the name “Lanna” to borrow from Burmese culture without giving proper credit is unfair not only to Myanmar but also to the Lanna people.

True... Mixing up Lanna and Burmese cultures for Thai Drama is disrespect on both Lanna and Myanmar.

I hope both countries and their people find peace and happiness, coexisting peacefully while respecting each other's identities across the region.
Respect goes both ways. I hope Thai and Myanmar people start by acknowledging both countries' lantern dances. To me, both are beautiful in their own ways, as long as their identities are respected and they aren't mixed up in ways that create problems.

Regarding this lantern dance, some Myanmar people need to understand the idea of "Shared Culture" while respecting distinct identities. The problem isn't Thai, Lanna, or Myanmar people. It's GMMTV, which used outfits resembling Myanmar traditional dress in that scene.

I agree. Thai series should promote Lanna culture. But it should be genuinely Lanna, not a mix inspired by Myanmar, China, and other cultures, as GMMTV admitted. Yet, they stayed silent until Myanmar people finally spoke up.

I am a Lanna person living in Thailand. Lanna people respect Burmese culture; when we wear Burmese clothing, we always learn about its origins in the classroom. So, shouldn't Thai series promote Lanna culture?

I searched and checked it as you requested, and found this source with a publication date and citations. This will be my last tweet addressing direct arguments against me that don't even match the outfits used in GMMTV's series' trailer.

This is real. I guess some nationalists groups (both sides) are taking chance to divide Thai and Myanmar ppl. They are trying to create complete riots. Thai ppl and Myanmar ppl, please be careful.
“The groups are using the issue to make Thais hate the people of Myanmar,” What began as a dispute over royal costumes in the Thai drama Scarlet Heart Thailand risks becoming something much bigger, according to a Myanmar expert. As criticism of GMMTV grows, Asst Prof Lalita Harnwong of Kasetsart University warns that nationalists on both sides are exploiting the controversy to fuel hostility between Thais and Myanmar nationals. In Thailand, she says, nationalist groups are using the dispute to promote claims that Myanmar migrant workers are “stealing Thai jobs”, while Myanmar's military regime has its own reasons to encourage young men who fled the country to return. Lalita says Myanmar people have every right to be angry, but warns against allowing the controversy to be manipulated by those with ill intentions. Meanwhile, tickets for the drama's 4 November premiere sold out in just one hour. Read the full story in the first reply. #ScarletHeartThailand #ThailandNews #Myanmar

The original post by a Lanna native is nuanced and gentle."Shared Culture" should be acknowledged. But, Multiculturalism shouldn’t blur origins. Credit should be given where it’s due. Since GMMTV admitted using Myanmar’s culture, why can’t they guarantee proper credit?

I'm confused You pretended like you were not taking side but the orginal tweet was clearly from Lanna people presenting their culture as well, cuz thai dress isn't only represented by center thai. What GMM did wrong is that they used 'TH' eventhough Lanna were development of both

Lol... Using Lanna as a tool to rebrand Burmese culture as Thai culture isn't praising Lanna culture. It's also disrespectful to Lanna people and their cultural identity. #RespectMyanmarCulture

Thailand is just praising Lanna people and their culture. I dont understand why Burmeses have to be offended. Do they want Lanna people to be ignored and treated like a second-class citizen in Thailand?

I’m rooting for Lanna people as well. I hope Myanmar’s cultures are well recognized and Lanna people respected. I’m also rooting for Indians. Finally, I hope Thai people’s dignity won’t be affected by certain racists, nationalists, capitalists, and arrogant ppl.

Some of them are hilarious. If I painted the Eiffel Tower in American, would it become mine or American property? This Thai person commented under my tweet and then blocked me, probably knowing their reply was irrelevant. So why expose your own character like that? 😂

Superiority complex + Moral high ground + Insulting other nationalities + Racism In short, your words reveal your own character.

Deleting twitter for a while. I hate seeing all this racism, colourism, homophobia, misogyny, & goodness knows what new kind of “phobic” or “ism” thai bl actors are cooking up. It makes me uncomfortable, & I feel myself become short-tempered, agitated, mean, & sensitive. +
