There can be no doubt that nitazenes are circulating in Scotland. All healthcare workers who may encounter someone using these potent drugs need to remember that more than one dose of naloxone will be needed.
A RADAR alert on #nitazenes - a new synthetic opioid - has been updated to ensure healthcare staff and the public are aware of increasing harms related to these potent drugs. ➡️publichealthscotland.scot/ne…

It's great to see this initiative and to protect our children we should all put our support behind it.
Public Health Minister @jenni_minto has welcomed a @ScotGov campaign warning parents, carers and pupils of the dangers of vaping. We have also published our Tobacco and Vaping Framework, setting out our vision for a tobacco-free generation by 2034. ➡️bit.ly/Tobacco-Vaping

📢It's not too late! Those eligible for the flu and COVID-19 vaccines this winter are urged to come forward for vaccination as soon as possible. 🆕Read more here: publichealthscotland.scot/ne…

Good to see more information on these new drugs. Some are much more potent than their predecessors and carry a higher risk of accidental overdose and death. This helps people to understand the risk they may be taking.
