building cool stuff

I want self-hosting to feel amazing. The best parts of my favourite PaaS dashboards. My own servers. Horizontal scaling so simple that five machines feel like one. So I'm building it. Today I'm launching Ployz - ployz.dev/ This is the platform I've always wanted for myself. Push code, preview changes, run my databases. When I need more capacity, add a server and spread my app across it. Under the hood is an orchestrator I've written in Rust, leaning heavily on Uncloud's architecture and what looks like a similar direction with Coolify v5. Openship and I have somehow launched similar products with the exact opposite architecture (lightweight rust agent ftw). Anything I can do in the dashboard, my coding agent can do too. The ZFS groundwork is landing with this launch. Moving databases between servers, like in the video, is next. There's plenty left to build, and a long list of things I personally want from this. Open source. Free to run on your own servers. If you've been wanting this too, give it a try. ployz.dev/

And there goes us-east1 Meanwhile ~5m services stayed up on Railway’s custom datacenters That’s ~2m users who didn’t get paged, and likely 10’s of millions of downstream users of their sites Having an outage/incident with your provider? Our DM’s are open :)
First you see it in spot instances Then you see it in tier2 regions <———You are here————> Then it hits us-east1 Building our own datacenters; maybe not so crazy after all 🤔?
