Club statement: Billericay Town Colts & Girls and Perry Street FC Announce Plans to Come Together ahead of the 27/28 Season. We are delighted to announce an exciting new chapter for grassroots football in our community. Billericay Town Colts & Girls and Perry Street FC, two established grassroots football clubs with a shared commitment to providing football for boys and girls across Essex, have agreed to come together under the Billericay Town Club banner. The two clubs have been working closely together for a period of time, and through that relationship it has become increasingly clear that we share the same ambitions, values and, most importantly, passion for giving children the best possible football experience. Bringing our two clubs together is a natural next step and creates an opportunity to build an even stronger and more sustainable grassroots football community. There are a number of important synergies between the clubs: * Shared pitches and facilities – enabling us to make better use of the facilities available to us and provide the best possible playing environment for our teams. * Shared committee resources – bringing together the experience, energy and expertise of the volunteers who work incredibly hard behind the scenes at both clubs. * A shared vision for children’s football – creating an inclusive environment where boys and girls of all ages and abilities can enjoy football, develop their skills, make friendships and be part of a club and community they are proud to represent. At the heart of this decision are our players. Together, we believe we can provide more opportunities for children to play football, stronger pathways as they develop and greater support for our coaches, managers and volunteers. Both clubs have proud histories and strong identities, built over many years by the dedication of players, parents, coaches, volunteers and committee members. We are committed to respecting that heritage as we take this next step together. This is not simply about creating a bigger football club. It is about creating a stronger grassroots football community and building something that can serve local children and families for many years to come. There is still work to be done as we bring the two organisations together, and we will communicate further details with our players, parents, coaches and volunteers as the process progresses. This will not affect either the Billericay Men’s, or Women’s teams, as they will continue to operate separately from the youth and girls sections. All teams at both clubs will continue for the rest of this current season, ahead of coming together for 27/28. For now, we would like to thank everyone who has helped build Billericay Town Colts & Girls and Perry Street FC into the clubs they are today. We are incredibly excited about what we can achieve together. Two proud grassroots clubs. One shared vision. More opportunities for children to play football.
