I'm embarrassed for anyone buying this propaganda. Etihad would be City's witness, not the Premier League. They could've called them anytime, but didn't. Now why might that be? I will show you in full detail.
First email is from City to Etihad where they outline how Etihad would provide only £8m of the £99m total.
Second email is a request from City that £27m be paid through 'Etihad', but routed through certain channels so it wouldn't be picked up as separate funding.
Third email is City's finance team planning Etihad performance bonuses within ADUG's cash-flow budget, invoicing Etihad but moving related sums between direct ADUG payments.
Fourth email shows City's 15/16 £67.5m 'sponsorship' from Etihad was only £8m, with £59.5m paid by ADUG.

Man City's 'sponsors' are attempting to sue the Premier League.
There is only one punishment that matters for Man City their owners must be forced to sell the club.
Otherwise they effectively own the entire Premier League and can do whatever they like.
There is no other choice

Well, this has opened one hell of a can of worms.
Khaldoon Al Mubarak reportedly has held diplomatic immunity in the UK since 2020. He also chairs Mubadala, which entered into the UK-UAE investment deal in 2021, initially involving a £10bn UAE investment commitment.
Now put that wider UK-UAE relationship alongside Burnham's relationship with Khaldoon and his recent comment siding with City's ownership and you can start to understand why the premier league is fighting a massive battle.
