First, 🙌 my marketing ops friends. "Marketing automation" is the top talent in demand — and not one that marketing managers frequently use contract talent for.

Super excited about our new research direction for aligning smarter-than-human AI:
We finetune large models to generalize from weak supervision—using small models instead of humans as weak supervisors.

The European Union agreed on the world's first comprehensive regulation for artificial intelligence called the AI Act. This makes the EU the first body to reach a deal of this sort. The law won't take effect until 2025 at the earliest.

Many companies say they're customer-obsessed, but it's usually in marketing and not in practice.
Leaders can learn about the meaning of customer obsession by listening to Amazon's Jeff Bezos.
"We're not competitor obsessed, we're customer obsessed," Bezos said. "It’s obsessive attention to the customer experience end-to-end."
It's this philosophy that has driven Amazon's customer-centered innovation, year after year.
"Even when they don’t yet know it, customers want something better, and your desire to delight customers will drive you to invent on their behalf," Bezos observed.
Bezos rallies the entire company around customers. This is Amazon's "Day 1" mentality.
Day 1 is a culture and an operating model that puts customers at the center of everything Amazon does.
Putting "Day 1" into practice maintains a long-term focus, obsessing over customers, and bold innovation.
What is your Day 1 culture?

The lack of good enablement (capacity, skills, use case analysis, education, change management) is by far the biggest barrier to successful utilization of marketing technology.
This matches what I see too.
