Thanks Patty. I had off every Monday after Thanksgiving and I was with my dad in a tree stand. In the mountains.
To hit deer, there needs to be traffic. Where’s the traffic? Not up in the mountains or in the farms, its highways and suburbia.
Every year I have to hang signs and chase these hobby hunters out of 11 acres of woods. I have a three acre patch on a residential road and had to post that till we cleared it.
So this is why I want the real data, I think there are patterns in there that would reshape who we let hunt where. We could still cull a big herd in suburbia and keep the meat. That would be about conservation and management, not hobby or sport hunting.

I’m not afraid to call out the guys in suburbia causing the problems. Watching their phones in the tree stand with the housing development in the distance.
And we need the GPS location on the accidents, correlated with time of year.
Logic dictates if you hunt out in the mountains, less roads or cars, so less accidents.
Compare that to hunters whose trucks are pulled over on small patches of woods beside the HIGHWAY we see on the way to work. Logic says those guys are the problem.
