It's really wild that the nerds who pushed ALL CHANGE IS PROGRESS pedal-to-the-metalism for decades and decades are all of a sudden discovering Chesterton's fence when it is THEIR ego on the line.
Nah. You don't get to spare yourselves while having already run roughshod over everything and everyone else.
AI can truly be a decentralizing force. In many ways it is a much more organic technology than the industrial and digital revolutions that came before it.

There is an infamous corner in WV called Stupid’s Corner. I follow Jessica Davis who posts very entertaining videos of people struggling to take this turn. My Tesla Cybertruck on FSD 14.3.9 handled it literally perfectly. I couldn’t ask it to do any better.

When India accidentally wiped out its vultures, half a million people died in five years.
The bird doing zoomies in this video runs the most extreme digestive system in the animal kingdom. Vulture stomach acid sits near pH 1, strong enough to destroy anthrax, rabies, and botulism in the carcasses they eat. A flock strips a cow to bone in about 45 minutes.
India had 50 million of them. Free sanitation at national scale, in a country where religious custom means most cattle die natural deaths and every dead cow becomes a carcass someone has to deal with.
Then the patent on diclofenac expired in 1994. Farmers started using the cheap painkiller on livestock. Trace amounts left in a carcass cause kidney failure in vultures. Within a decade, 50 million birds fell to a few thousand. The fastest collapse of any bird species since the passenger pigeon.
The carcasses didn't disappear. Feral dogs took the vultures' place and brought rabies with them. Rotting remains leached into waterways. In districts where vultures once thrived, human death rates rose more than 4 percent. Economists at Chicago and Warwick put the toll at 100,000 extra deaths a year and $69 billion in annual damages.
So yes, the goofy bird sprinting down the walkway is adorable. It's also a disease firewall that evolution spent millions of years building and one generic painkiller nearly erased in ten.

BREAKING: SpaceX has confirmed that Terafab is moving forward in Grimes County, Texas.
The announcement came during a face-to-face meeting with residents and local officials at the Grimes County Commissioners Court in Anderson, Texas.
According to SpaceX representatives:
• Civil work will begin almost immediately.
• Construction could start within months.
Terafab is expected to become a major semiconductor manufacturing facility with ambitious long-term goals:
• Planned size: 100 million square feet.
• Target output: 1 terawatt per year.
• Chips for Tesla FSD and Optimus.
• Chips for SpaceX's future space systems.
• AI compute infrastructure on Earth and in orbit.
• Long-term vision includes supporting orbital compute and lunar mass drivers.
Terafab is set to become a key part of the infrastructure behind AI, robotics, autonomous vehicles, and future space technologies.

The first fully autonomous Cybertruck cross-country drive — zero disengagement attempt.
@DavidMoss did it in a Model 3. @BeardedTesla and @JoshWest247 in a Model Y. @AlexRoy144 took the Model S from LA to New York — dead of winter. But nobody's done it in a Cybertruck. Until now.
When I filmed this intro video, I thought this would be a multi-day trip to see my uncle before he passed. Two hours into the drive, I got the call — he was already gone. What was supposed to be a few days of driving turned into a cannonball run to make the funeral.
24+ hours in. 1,200+ miles. 0 disengagements. My wife and I are taking turns — one rests, one works, FSD does the driving. We still have 900+ miles to go and need to be in Delaware by noon tomorrow.
I never imagined a robot would be driving us to a funeral — but we'd be too exhausted to do this safely without it.
If you pray, we'd appreciate prayers for a safe journey. 🤲

“The US government has unlocked zero point energy.”
AJ Gentile from The Why Files just blew Tucker Carlson’s mind.
He revealed that many people have invented free energy tech since the 1930s.
But a 1951 law classified all of it.
And it mandated that this tech can only be sold to the US military.
AJ suspects that UFO videos released by the military since 2017 are actually examples of this top secret tech, not extraterrestrial crafts.

This will shock you:
“There’s a man named Charles Pogue, who in the ‘30s tinkered with his carburetor and was able to get 200 miles a gallon.”
“Once the news of his engine got out, the oil stocks crashed.”
“So the oil industry lobbied the US government … and in 1951, the Invention Secrecy Act was passed.”
“If you patent any device that is more than 20% efficient, that’s instantly classified.”
“You can’t talk about it, you can’t build it, and you can’t sell it unless you sell it to the US military.”
“Then there was a man named Tom Ogle … in the ‘70s.”
“He accidentally rewires his lawnmower engine to take the exhaust and pump it back into the carburetor, and this thing runs on a gallon of gas for 78 hours or something.”
“So he reconfigures his car … and he’s getting 200 miles to the gallon.”
“Suddenly, Tom, without a history of drug use, stumbles out of a bar, he’s drunk, and he’s killed.”
“You might remember Stanley Meyer and the water car … this is the 1990s now.”
“Stanley’s figured out how to take tap water, put it into his car, and run his car on water.”
“It works, and he drives it all over the place.”
“It’s all over the news.”
“I think he’s sitting at a Cracker Barrel with his brother and some investors, and they raise a glass to toast.”
“Stanley suddenly doesn’t feel well.”
“He runs outside, he starts vomiting, his brother chases after him … and Stanley says, ‘they poisoned me,’ and he dies.”
“He had another invention that most people don’t know about before his water car, which was this toroid ring.”
“This donut-shaped ring that he invented that created energy out of nothing, and levitated.”
“But he patented it, and it got hit with the Secrecy Act, and they made his life miserable.”
“There are other inventors in between, T. Townsend Brown invents this antigravity technology.”
“And we get to Floyd ‘Sparky’ Sweet.”
“He videotaped all of his stuff.”
“He’s a garage tinkerer, but he’s an engineer.”
“You see him running a fan at high RPMs, and then he’s got light bulbs … and it’s all running off this little box the size of a deck of cards.”
“It’s a device that no matter what you attach to it … it will give you the energy.”
“He gets a visit late one night, two men in suits come talk to him … he has a heart attack, ambulance comes, they grab Sparky … he dies.”
“Soon after, a couple of black vans pull up. They take all his notes, every piece of equipment, and it just disappears.”
