Today marks 1 year since we entered public ownership under DFTO. Over the past 12 months we have remained one of the best performing train operators in the UK, opened Beaulieu Park and Cambridge South railway stations, extended contactless ticketing to Stansted Airport, Witham and Southend Victoria, and carried out timetable improvements and community initiatives. One month in and the @Stansted_Exp overnight trial is already off to a flying start! ✈️ Over 1,000 extra journeys have been made since its launch, providing passengers with a new way to travel to and from @STN_Airport through the night every Friday. A fire close to the railway in the Stratford area has blocked all lines through Stratford, causing significant disruption to train services. The safety of our passengers, colleagues and emergency responders is our top priority, and we are working closely with the London Fire Brigade and British Transport Police as they respond to the incident. Stratford station has been temporarily closed and passengers are advised to check before they travel. We are very sorry for the disruption this is causing and thank passengers for their patience and understanding.
