> Also, we strongly advise users not to purchase from unauthorized resellers Way to pretend the compromised devices didn’t come from an authorized reseller 🙄
72 hour update on reseller CryptoBilis incident 🔽 As the investigation continues, we are working with relevant authorities. The volume of impacted devices is limited. We know this is concerning, especially for those directly affected, and we are reaching out to impacted users. To date, all confirmed cases related to the disclosed draining incident of Oct 9th, 2026, involve devices sold through the Southeast Asia reseller CryptoBilis. Our systems and direct sales channels remain unaffected. We take the CryptoBilis situation seriously and are actively investigating. We encourage impacted users to reach out to Ledger Support through official channels and file complaints with their local law enforcement authorities. As a reminder, CryptoBilis has confirmed having ceased all sales of hardware wallets. We are reminding our authorized resellers and distributors to source products only through authorized channels and never to restock returned products. Also, we strongly advise users not to purchase from unauthorized resellers, where the risk of buying suspicious, counterfeit or modified devices is important as nothing operates under ledger security guidelines. Security isn’t static and this incident underscores why we continuously review and strengthen our distribution and anti-tamper processes. We are continuously improving that work now and events like this strengthen our resolution: reviewing authorized reseller controls, advancing hardware protections, and cooperating with authorities. Thanks to @SEAL_911 for their collaborative support and all their efforts. This is an ongoing threat that doesn’t just impact Ledger, but the whole ecosystem, and we are calling others in the space to work with us on making improvements for users. We believe in jointly working with researchers, other vendors and partners on improving industry chain-of-custody practices and anti-tamper techniques. Raising the bar on physical supply-chain integrity benefits the entire ecosystem. If you have relevant information, contact [email protected]. For CryptoBilis buyers: do not initialize unused devices. If already set up, move to a new seed on a device from Ledger. If you have concerns that your device was impacted by the CryptoBilis incident, please contact Ledger Support through the official site: support.Ledger.com. Ledger Support is available 24/7 to answer your questions and concerns. Scammers often try to take advantage of incidents like this. Rely only on official Ledger channels. Ledger will never call you, DM you, or ask for your 24-word recovery phrase.

It turns out you can’t criticize a language based off a machine-generated codebase. Who knew?! tbh, the rust code is very readable and perfectly understandable – though I would certainly not be boxing everything like that! I certainly hope this code isn’t in the hot path.

This honestly isn’t as hard as it looks. The first time I replaced an under-seat battery, it took me all of half an hour – forty-five minutes if you include coding the part (required but not shown) for the BMS, and that’s mainly because I hate my ODB-II tool.
Just a battery replacement dawg😭😭

This is actually goated.
US government officially distilling Chinese open source AI models ;)

Diffusion is overkill for Jev. It’s just embarrassingly parallel hybrid of traditional ML with lessons and techniques learned from large models.
>new parallel sampler >abandoning autoregressive strings >is faster than llm >probability awareness >have the arxiv.org/abs/2502.09992 's github repo implementation forked in the org yep it's diffusion confirmed

Yes, it’s unconscionable to allow the US healthcare model to be repeated in any other industry or sector. I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve seen this in writing!
Replying to @GeorgeLubaretsi
China would anyway catch-up: all the world but the US would run frontier models for a few dollars while US would pay 10x that? This worked with healthcare in US but cannot be repeated with AI and, even internally, tens of US companies would reach OpenAI/Anthropic level.

The MikroTrick/MikroTik RSA cert comparison issue culminating in a full ssh auth bypass sure looks like a backdoor from here, huh?
❗️Attackers are chaining two critical MikroTik RouterOS bugs to take full control of any router with SSH exposed to the internet. Polish CERT has confirmed exploitation since at least 2 September. The vulnerabilities being exploited are an SSH authentication bypass and a privilege escalation, CVE-2026-67276 and CVE-2026-86060, both CVSS 9.2. Patch ASAP.

So are we going to get a gpt-6-luna and a gpt-6-sol? I wonder how that will work because gpt-6-astra isn’t *that* much better to leave that much room.

Liking Gemini 3.8 flash for coding-adjacent tasks but seeing catastrophic overthinking for simple vision tasks compared to 3.7 flash.
Introducing Gemini 3.8 Flash, another jump in Gemini's agentic + coding capabilities, and our 3rd updated Flash model in only 6 weeks... This model has been a ton of fun to work with, excited to see what you all think!

Always non-reproducible… I keep wanting to test @pangram on texts I have that are known (and many provably) decades old but pangram has ridiculous rate limits and I’m not paying to just scratch an itch and give *them* feedback.
I just wrote something by hand. For a laugh I ran it through an AI detector.

Elon Musk would like you to believe anti datacenter sentiment is a Chinese op.
The X Safety team conducted an investigation into suspected Chinese inauthentic accounts involved in influence operations: We identified a bot farm of approximately 200,000 accounts. Within this farm, we found 200 accounts posting in a manner that could manipulate a legitimate debate about American AI and energy policy. These posts contained claims that AI data centers are driving up household electricity prices and straining the grid. Others included AI-generated cartoons that depicted data-center operators enriching themselves at the public's expense. We remain committed to maintaining an open and authentic platform where people debate topics of public interest. We take seriously any attempts to undermine the integrity of the global town square and suspend accounts that violate our Authenticity policy.

I believe this should address your concerns.
*Checks date* It’s 2026… this is an actual book, in a major book store, in the technology section, not a Spencer’s as a gag gift or something… We’ve learned nothing…

There are even bigger UX problems with the carousel. It adds (an overload of) horizontal scrolling to a vertical scrolling TL. If you don’t scroll perfectly vertically, you’ll scroll sideways in the carousel instead of up/down. If you do intentionally scroll sideways to see the images the carousel hides from you by default, when if you swipe too vigorously when you swipe back to see the earlier image(s) again, you can be kicked out of the deeply nested comment thread you were viewing as the motion is interpreted as a navigation swipe. Many other issues.

People trusting Musk more than Huang or even Zuck makes sense once you realize this is on average and account for The Cult plus his MAGA ties, but trusting Zuck more than Huang is crazy… except how many normies know any of these names to begin with? Why no “don’t know” option?
People really do not trust the people running AI. the numbers are brutal. (CNBC survey of 1,000+ Americans aged 18-34) Dario: "I agree that the public has a negative view of AI, but I don’t think it is primarily caused by me or any other AI leader warning about AI’s risks."

Do you know how laughably cheap it would be to locally mirror – not even host! – a mere 50 TB of apparently priceless data?
A PBS station has taken legal action after losing access to more than 50TB of programming and archives spanning 70 years of television history It claims its files became trapped after its cloud storage provider apparently went out of business

You don’t want to hear the answer, but it’s because you (and people like you) will keep spending the big bucks anyway, so why not get paid twice if there’s no risk?
Why am i getting this on my FLAGSHIP phone??

“Think about the poor feds” I 100% thought this was satire.
Something we need to start talking about urgently: huge numbers of old software bugs are being found and closed right now. Intelligence and law enforcement agencies depend on these bugs for access. What are they going to do when this access is gone?
