רשות החדשנות מובילה השקעה של כ 70 מיליון ש"ח בהקמת תשתית ידע לאומית לפיתוח מודלי AI מבוססי מידע ביולוגי, המודלים יזרזו גילוי תרופות ויפתחו רפואה מותאמת אישית.
המאגד החדש שיוקם יקרא Israel BioToken Factory Initiative או בקיצור IBFI, ויפתח תשתית טכנולוגית משותפת שתאפשר לחברות, לחוקרים ולגופי הבריאות במטרה לקדם את הדור הבא של מודלי הבינה המלאכותית לביולוגיה.
המאגד מבוסס על שיתוף פעולה רחב בין חברות תעשייה, גופי בריאות וקבוצות מחקר מובילות: NVIDIA, Teva , @SHEBA_, CytoReason ,TeraCyte Analytics ,MeMed. את הפעילות המדעית מובילים פרופ' ערן סגל ופרופ' ניר יוסף ממכון ויצמן למדע @WeizmannScience, פרופ' שי שנאור מהטכניון @TechnionLive ופרופ' אסף זריצקי מאוניברסיטת בן גוריון @BenGurionUni.
במסגרת המאגד תפותח תשתית טכנולוגית משותפת שתכלול שני רכיבי ליבה הראשון, Bio Tokens, שכבת ייצוג אחידה לנתונים ביולוגיים מסוגים שונים. השני, Factory Model, פלטפורמה שתאפשר פיתוח, שילוב, הרצה והנגשה של מודלים ביולוגיים מבוססי בינה מלאכותית. יחד יאפשרו שני הרכיבים לחבר בין נתונים מולקולריים, תאיים, דינמיים וקליניים במסגרת חישובית אחת, ולהעמיד תשתית משותפת שתשרת את התעשייה, האקדמיה ומערכת הבריאות.
