So disappointing that ANYONE would act this way at a youth lacrosse event. This parent from the @ExpressLacrosse Channy Team called the @IRQ_Nationals U14 dev team trash and that they didn’t “belong” at the World Series of Youth Lacrosse. @Inside_Lacrosse @JustLacrosse #WSYL21
Intentional about changing the game #BoostCamp @BLAlliance_ @PLL_Assists @NationUnitedFo1 @Julesheningburg @KyleHarrison18

Regardless of how far people may think our sport has come, instances like this still occur. How can we as a community expect players of color to enjoy this sport when there are more elements beyond on the field that these players must worry about.

The sentiment we hear every parent express is that lacrosse is a vehicle to a great education and great schools ...how then does it make sense to transfer from an Ivy League or any other top tier educational opportunity because your gonna miss one season?
Let’s discuss...

“It's cool to see how the equipment has changed and how much technology Epoch is putting into the equipment. I’m excited to see the evolution of lacrosse equipment going forward and am eager to be a part of where the future is headed.”

How the game grows!!! Representation matters !!!
“I was a little kid watching [Serena] play and just to be on the court playing against her, for me, is a dream.”

This entire thread 🗣🗣. The health of these players is more important than the “loss” of a season. Making risk based decisions is not necessarily easy ...but as tough as it is, this is the right call.

“We’d never be here today if Black and POC reporters and editors had the authority and roles needed to shape the coverage of 2016.”

As someone who spends a lot of time advocating for young athletes, this quote hits home. Too many bosses in the club lacrosse space looking to control their constituency, not enough leaders opening doors and doing the blue collar work.
Families, make sure that you invest wisely!
This is what “developing” black and brown athletes looks like...there is more to it than posting a commitment pic on your home page 🗣 nationunitedfoundation.org

Honestly think it’s a great idea or at least spending more time on development so you are actually prepared for college ......instead of running yourself into the ground physically and financially.
