Can’t recall in recent memory any player who has had more pressure & scrutiny far before playing his first college game. 22 been head down, all about business, his team, and nothing else. Absolutely incredible accomplishment, earned it, and did it his way.

Benson Erwin delivered one of the coldest moments in championship weekend history.
With Johns Hopkins’ season hanging by a thread, the short stick defensive middie with only 7 career goals buried the overtime winner against Virginia—just seconds after Hopkins tied it with 1.5 left in regulation.
“I wasn’t aiming… I just threw it as hard as I could.”
That spark carried through to a 9–8 national championship win over Duke, as the Blue Jays locked down the second half and brought the title back for the first time since 1987. 16-0 for the 2005 Jays.

Hop v UVA tomorrow. One of the crazier plays of our rivalry during our 4 years - Dixon making a save (shot was buns), and Tilman squaring up w/ no stick in goal and actually tracking that joint! If that’s on cage he actually may have punched it, which is wild. Not sure folks talk about how damn good he was. Anyway, Go Jays!
