🧠👶 Excited to share our latest work: 3-month-old infants can form long-term memories of new voices after familiarisation and a nap! Using EEG, we discovered that sleep spindles are associated with the emerging memory representation of the new voice.

Many thanks to our co-authors, and employees and visitors of the NEMO museum 💚
Almost 1,000 museum visitors donate their data per month, so I’m looking forward to adding more to OSF soon! #openscience

New paper led by @IsabelRaposo16 on altered rhythmic attentional sampling in frontoparietal lesion patients is now published in @CurrentBiology and available here sciencedirect.com/science/ar… Tweetprint below.
Is attention rhythmic in nature? We really enjoyed the ongoing debate led by @FiebelkornIan, @martin_a_vinck, @AyeletLandau, @DanieleRejo, @FriesLab. Here is our take led by @IsabelRaposo16 with causal lesion data:

Great work by @NaherTim and his colleagues at the @FriesLab! They explore saccade rhythmicity under different free-viewing conditions, in both, humans and macaques 👀

As scientists @ESI_Frankfurt, we stand in solidarity with our (local & global) colleagues from Iran. Students @ Sharif Uni were injured & arrested on campus. Advocating for human rights, freedom of speech, and supporting scientists everywhere are core values of our community.

A massive thanks to all my co-authors, incl. @fredschaper3, and the reviewers whose valuable feedback helped shape this paper into its final (& improved!) format.
I’m excited to share the first pre-print of my PhD: Spatiotemporal patterns of sleep spindle activity in human anterior thalamus and cortex.
