I've edited and written my fair share of harrowing stories but I really felt sick to my stomach the entire time I was editing this

Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa:
When I visited Trump at the White House, when he said the Golan Heights belongs to Israel, I made the joke, “Why don’t you give New Jersey to the Israelis? You don’t own the Golan Heights to give, but you own New Jersey.”
I believe New Jersey is full of Democrats, and they are not voting for Trump, so it would be good to give it to the Israelis. At least this is something you own. Trump doesn’t own the Golan Heights.
Regardless of this joke, the Golan Heights is owned by its own people. It is neither the Syrian president’s, the American president’s, nor any other person’s to abandon or give up to others.

WATCH: A remotely controlled car demo in Islamabad, Pakistan crashed into a parked police van at D-Chowk.
Journalist was filming from passenger seat, praising "no shortage of talent in Pakistan" — seconds later the internet connection dropped, steering failed, car hit the van.
The inventor had claimed it would auto-stop on disconnect.
It didn't.
PabloReports: What do you make of Trump saying Americans who oppose data centers are backwards and poor?
AOC: I mean, how about we put one in Mar-a-Lago? I love that. Let’s put a data center at Mar-a-Lago, and we’ll see how backwards and poor he is in response to that.

Joe Rogan: “That’s one of the weirdest things about some of these tech companies like Palantir was talking about reinstating the draft. I’m like hey, who the fuck are you? What is this? You want to draft people? You’re a fucking tech company. Why don’t you go fight? Why don’t you fucking take your glasses off and go over there?”

Proof that Natalie "Insane Bolt" Harp broke @EmmaVigeland on today's @majorityfm.
The soundboard noise is Dave Rubin (in a long lost comedy routine) doing an impression of Yoda during intercourse.
This photo actually broke me on @majorityfm today.
The way you can tell she’s smiling from afar. How hard she’s hitting her stride.
We had a viewer say she should be known as "Insane Bolt," which might be the greatest thing I’ve ever heard.

💵📉 Treasury Doubles Bond Buybacks as Bessent Moves to Steady Surging Yields
The US Treasury unexpectedly announced Wednesday that it will “at least double” its long-dated debt buybacks, from $2 billion to at least $4 billion per operation, after yields on long-term government bonds surged to their highest levels in nearly two decades.
The move, targeting 10- to 30-year debt, sent the 30-year yield down nearly 10 basis points and pushed the dollar sharply lower. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has focused heavily on bringing down longer-term yields, particularly the 10-year, which serves as a benchmark for mortgage and other borrowing costs. The announcement came as total US government debt surpassed $40 trillion for the first time. (Reuters)
The intervention has also raised questions over the increasingly blurred line between Treasury debt management and monetary policy. Economists warned that attempts to suppress longer-term borrowing costs could complicate the Federal Reserve’s fight against inflation and increase political pressure on the central bank. (Reuters)
Real Vision founder Raoul Pal calls Wednesday’s move “the Bessent Put.” Pal argues the government has effectively signaled that it will not tolerate long-term yields climbing much higher, putting a floor under bond prices.
The dollars involved are small relative to the enormous Treasury market, he wrote, but “the signal is enormous”: Treasury doubled its long-end support within 24 hours of the 30-year yield reaching 5.33%, its highest level since 2007. (Reuters)
Pal ties the move to a broader strategy of weakening the dollar to draw foreign buyers, particularly Japan and eventually China, back into US debt markets, while financing ballooning government borrowing and enormous AI data-center investment. He argues that the AI investment cycle has become increasingly “too big to fail.”
Mohamed El-Erian, chief economic adviser at Allianz and former PIMCO CEO, told CNN the move amounted to “financial engineering” to buy time, describing it as a short-term effort undertaken with the approaching midterm elections in mind. ⬇️
