The National Planning Commission (NPC) is pleased to announce that the Second Namibia Public-Private Forum (NAMPPF II) will be held on 25–26 November 2026 under the theme: “From Commitment to Competitiveness: Accelerating Investment, PPPs and Job Creation.”
Addressing the African Green Industries Summit 2026, Amb. Dr. Kaire Mbuende said Namibia’s green industrialisation ambition goes beyond how much green hydrogen the country can produce. The focus must also be on what Namibia can manufacture, beneficiate & build from it. 1/4
Dr. Mbuende emphasised the importance of ensuring that Namibian businesses and workers participate in the emerging green industrialisation value chains, through local value addition, industrial development, job creation and economic opportunities.3/3

National Planning Commission Director General Amb. Kaire Mbuende says Namibia must retain more value from its natural resources through increased local processing, manufacturing and business development as the country advances its green industrialisation agenda.
Speaking at the African Green Industries Summit, Mbuende said the transition will require investment in infrastructure, energy, finance, local content and skills development, alongside stronger ESG considerations.
He said government cannot drive the transition alone, calling for greater participation from the private sector, financial and training institutions, communities, entrepreneurs, women and young people.

…seeks industry input to help shape country's green industrialisation investment strategy
Namibia has launched public consultations on its draft Sectoral Transformation Investment Plan (s-TIP) as it seeks to unlock up to US$250 million in concessional financing to accelerate green industrialisation and attract significantly larger private and development investment.
Speaking at the launch of the Climate Investment Funds (CIF) Industry Decarbonisation Programme validation workshop in Windhoek, National Planning Commission Acting Executive Director Sylvester Mbangu said the investment plan will position Namibia to seek approval from the CIF Trust Fund Committee later this year.
Mbangu said the proposed funding is intended to reduce investment risk and mobilise substantially more capital from multilateral development banks, development partners and the private sector.
"The opportunity before us is significant. Namibia is preparing an investment plan that could position the country to access up to US$250 million in concessional CIF capital," he said.

The National Planning Commission (NPC) has formally begun work on Namibia's next long-term development blueprint, launching a five-year strategy that will culminate in a successor to Vision 2030 and the drafting of the Seventh National Development Plan (NDP7).
The NPC Strategic Plan for 2025/26 to 2029/30 places the development of a new national vision at the centre of government's planning agenda as Vision 2030 enters its final phase.
Executive Director I-Ben Natangwe Nashandi said the plan provides the framework that will guide Namibia's development planning, implementation, monitoring and resource mobilisation over the next five years.
A major deliverable under the strategy will be the formulation of a new long-term national vision to replace Vision 2030, alongside the preparation and Cabinet approval of NDP7.
