As I have advanced in my career, what I used to think was important in my 20s no longer aligns with what truly matters. During my time in academia, I valued technical skill and papers. But it’s increasingly clear that being a ‘synthesizer’ of knowledge across many people is much more valuable.

Was inside away from all windows as the sun set "early" last night watching the Eagles beat Dallas, so felt no gloom at all (only moderate to severe stress) and woke up this morning to an earlier sunrise and a 2.5 game division lead 😎 What a time to be alive. Go birds.

What happens on other streets with a single traffic lane is that cars stop and block the street. That's what my neighbors and I do. If people can't stop in front of their businesses and stores for pickup and deliveries the streets fail to fullfil their most basic function.
