Her story, Two Girls, Two Sides, Two Lives, One War, is set during the English Civil War and follows two girls from opposing sides of the conflict. The judges praised Ella’s ability to bring her characters to life, saying they “instantly leap off the page”. Well done, Ella🌟

Creative Writing Club had a brilliant time this lunchtime, working on world-building and devising places of their own design. ✍️ Just one of the many lunchtime clubs at NHGS giving students the chance to explore their interests, develop their talents and try something different

Great to see Ella, who helps Mr Manby & Dr Dickinson run Creative Writing Club, supporting younger students. It’s just one example of the many opportunities our sixth formers have to demonstrate and develop their leadership skills. Scholarship. Fellowship. Leadership.
