Every field tells a different story. Walk the plots. See the results. Join NDSU plant pathologist Michael Wunsch on Thursday, July 16, for the Makoti On-Farm Study Plot Tour, where you'll walk research plots evaluating how variety selection, planting date and seed treatments can influence field pea and lentil performance under Aphanomyces root rot pressure. You'll compare side-by-side treatments, see how disease pressure varies between fields with different crop rotation histories and hear findings from this ongoing multi-year, multi-location research effort across North Dakota. Whether you're looking for practical management strategies or want to see current research in action, this tour offers valuable insights you can take back to your operation. Lunch will be provided, and there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and discuss results with NDSU researchers. Learn more ndsu.edu/agriculture/ag-hub/…

Last week we celebrated a major investment in the future of livestock research, education and North Dakota agriculture. Our upgraded Swine Research Facility features a new 600-head expansion barn and classroom addition. The upgrades enhance our opportunities for research in swine nutrition, production efficiency, and animal welfare all while providing hands-on learning experiences for students in the @ndsucafsnr. Private support played a critical role in bringing the project to life. Thank you to @ndcorn, @NDSoybean @NDFU who were principal contributors, providing more than $3 million in funding. Their investment underscores the strong connection between livestock production and North Dakota’s crop-based economy. Read more ndsu.edu/news/2026-06-15-nds…
