"You hate that when you look at me, you halfway see yourself"
I see the entire culture/ political wars as a spiritual battle of the sexes. The metaphysical masculine vs the feminine. Patriarchy is the West. The attacks on the West are attacks manifesting from a malevolent feminine metaphysic.
The spirit (archetype) of Lilith (who is known for strangling children btw) is the spirit of this age. A psychic epidemic has irrupted from the unconscious - some call it a woke mind virus.

Lots of talk on if reality is a Simulation recently, but Many Worlds works too I think. Truth is, I'm more convinced now that a Lunar Spirit is in the ascendant.
Will She destroy the West and devour us all?

When this happens within a person, we call it something like Delusional Disorder, which is psychosis, sitting somewhere on the schizophrenia spectrum.
At scale, it can be thought of as possession of a sort, manifesting as psychic epidemic.
I think it is reasonably obvious to say that we have an epistemic crisis on our hands. The attack on reality has been brutal, and we are losing a shared world. Grok:
//the public sphere is losing a shared standard for what a justified belief looks like, and high-confidence pattern-matching is outcompeting argument at the scale that now shapes politics and culture.//

The existence of this distinct experience served as a gateway to the unknown, or as a floodgate, a portal, through which then unexpected could pour, with inevitably destructive and potentially creative consequences.
The shaman is the individual who chooses to meet such a flood head on.

Shamanic rituals are therefore not merely anachronistic, without modern relevance, except as curiosity dictates - but prime exemplars of a process we must come to understand.

So, we talk about Lilith (feminist icon) a fair bit over here. Given recent events, I think it's important to remind us all that one of the primary things Lilith is known for, is STRANGLING CHILDREN.
We are in the midst of a violent irruption from the Unconscious of the malevolent feminine. A lunar psychic epidemic.

I have personally spent time at Andrew Wilson’s house and learned everything I needed to know. I’m willing to spill the beans about his past.
Before 2020, Andrew had virtually no social media presence. There’s a reason for that.
From what I’ve been able to piece together, Andrew was recruited into a highly classified programme and trained to operate under multiple identities. The programme was part of an experimental psychological warfare project designed to produce intelligence assets capable of infiltrating political and ideological movements and systematically dismantling communist and left-wing organisations.
The training involved memory conditioning, psychological manipulation, languages, surveillance and logical fallacy defence. The objective was to create an operative who could be completely stripped of his previous identity and reintroduced into society without anyone knowing his real origins.
At some point, the programme went wrong. Andrew was left with severe amnesia and was eventually found drifting in the Mediterranean by a fishing boat. He had no identification, no memory of who he was, and nothing on him except the details of a Swiss bank account in Zurich.
From there, he began reconstructing his identity and discovering the skills that had somehow remained despite the memory loss.
For years there was virtually no trace of him.
Then, in 2020, he re-emerged and founded The Crucible.
Since then, he has somehow developed an extraordinary ability to read people, identify weaknesses and dismantle opponents in debate despite having no obvious conventional background that would explain it.
I’m not saying Andrew Wilson is the product of a classified, multi-national intelligence programme.
I’m saying that once you know what happened before 2020, his sudden emergence as an online debate star starts to make considerably more sense.
I’ve said too much already.

I hear this argument all the time that people in academia are not there "for the money" and therefore, so the implication, you can trust them.
It's true in the sense that academics didn't chose their profession to become rich-rich. But it's untrue in the sense that they want to keep their job because most of them haven't learned anything else.
They have very strong economic incentives to want to keep their job, even though it won't make them super rich, they probably have a cozy position. And that is why they exaggerate the relevance of their work and ignore shortcomings, because the show has to go on, they need the next grant, the next job, they need to publish the next paper.
No, you cannot trust them to be honest about the relevance of their work, and for the most part you can't trust them to be honest about their colleagues work either, because their income depends on what their colleagues think about them.

Fyodor Dostoevsky's handwritten manuscript for The Brothers Karamazov.
He spent nearly two years writing what would become his final novel. It was published in monthly installments between January 1879 and November 1880.
Less than four months after it was published, Dostoevsky died.

It is profitable, and in my view justifiable to think of archetypes as spirits. One may participate, or be possessed. Although there is no adequate protection against psychic epidemics, there are things we can do, like warding off spells.
The degree to which we make the unconscious, conscious, is the degree to which we have free will.
Participation, is better than possession.
Logos. Notice the attempts to redefine words, a spell that snares many.
“Indeed, it is becoming ever more obvious that it is not famine, not earthquakes, not microbes, not cancer but man himself who is man’s greatest danger to man, for the simple reason that there is no adequate protection against psychic epidemics, which are infinitely more devastating than the worst of natural catastrophes.
The supreme danger which threatens individuals as well as whole nations is a psychic danger. Reason has proved itself completely powerless, precisely because its arguments have an effect only on the conscious mind and not on the unconscious. The greatest danger of all comes from the masses, in whom the effects of the unconscious pile up cumulatively and the reasonableness of the conscious mind is stifled. Every mass organization is a latent danger just as much as a heap of dynamite is. It lets loose effects which no man wants and no man can stop.
It is therefore in the highest degree desirable that a knowledge of psychology should spread so that men can understand the source of the supreme dangers that threaten them. Not by arming to the teeth, each for itself, can the nations defend themselves in the long run from the frightful catastrophes of modern war. The heaping up of arms is itself a call to war. Rather must they recognize those psychic conditions under which the unconscious bursts the dykes of consciousness and overwhelms it.” ― Carl Jung
