Continued federal support for other areas of basic and applied science (physics, materials, technology, geology, atmospheric science, space science, computer science, etc.) is also critical for our nation. This is NOT a drill. Failure to support science is not an option.

Folks, disease doesn’t give a Tinker’s damn about political party. Federal support through NIH, NSF, and other agencies for basic and applied biological science has made the US the undisputed world leader in these sciences. Cutting back in this area is a recipe for disaster.
