Today is the day we say goodbye to my childhood home. Soon to be demolished by Georgia Power for the data centers. Thank you to ALL of you, we wouldn’t be so gracious about it if it weren’t for all the support.

Texas is staring down an 11-gigawatt AI data center campus in the Panhandle.
Project Matador has already secured a state permit for 6 gigawatts of natural-gas power generation.
A project this massive raises serious questions about the strain on Texas water, power, and rural communities.
Though currently paused, if restarted it could start draining resources and harming communities in the panhandle.

I am not an A.I. doomer, in fact I’m excited about all the ways it can help humanity.
what a great mom!
Yesterday, I had the very special honour of singing “O Canada” 🇨🇦 alongside my son, Blu, at the Apple Bowl.
Blu was very nervous before we began. I told him, “I’ll be right there beside you. And if you make a mistake, just keep going.” ❤️
This was only his second time singing publicly, and sharing that moment with him—standing side by side and singing our national anthem here in his hometown of Kelowna—is something I’ll treasure for a very long time. 🍁
A heartfelt thank you to Eric Stansfield, everyone at the Apple Bowl, and the Okanagan Sun Football team for inviting us to perform. It was truly an honour to be part of the day. 🙏🏼🇨🇦❤️
And thank you to our friend Eric for capturing this video and giving us such a beautiful keepsake of the moment.

The Trump admin has always sided with big tech on the question of whether AI training is fair use, so their position here isn’t a surprise
But it seems notable they have weighed in on this lawsuit at all. I suspect they wouldn’t bother if they didn’t think the NYT might win.
