The music – live from exceptional musicians and singers – ranges from Rachmaninov to George Harrison and is always both apt and moving. theguardian.com/stage/2022/d…

Great to see Kris Defoort’s 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕋𝕚𝕞𝕖 𝕠𝕗 𝕆𝕦𝕣 𝕊𝕚𝕟𝕘𝕚𝕟𝕘 @LaMonnaieDeMunt nominated in the World Premiere category of the @TheOperaAwards. A privilege to share this story of self-invention, allegiance, race, cultural ownership, and the compromised power of music.

This is a step in the right direction. Still so much more work to make this visa and work permit issue viable for all in our industry. @OliverDowden @cj_dinenage over to you then.

.@DeborahAnnetts: the adverse impact of Brexit on Creative Industries, in particular the freelance community, has become even more stark. Testimonies from musicians highlight the work they have lost, or are going to lose, in EU as a result of new Visa & Work Permit arrangements.

The ISM needs to hear how Brexit is affecting your work as a musician in Europe. We need to persuade Govt this is a real issue so send your personal testimony to [email protected]. Many thanks.

Keep going @KevinBrennanMP thank you! Happy to offer as much help as you need! We need action now - we have not been “doing this for 6 weeks” - it has been our lives!
In @CommonsDCMS I put it to the Digital & Culture Minister that the reason why the UK government has not sorted out EU visa-free touring for musicians and creatives is because within this government Home Office ministers don't care and DCMS ministers don't count. #WorkingintheEU
