The programme straddles more than 200 years, from the early 19th century through to the present day. The concert features works by Charles Villiers Stanford, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Jonathan Dove and Elaine Hagenberg, and more.
The LSC will offer this array of rarely heard music in the intimate and atmospheric setting of St Andrew Holborn, a Wren church in the City of London.
We’re delighted to announce that tickets are now on sale for our concert on Sunday 8 June, celebrating the beauty and power of the human voice.

Walt Whitman and Vaughan Williams - visionaries both. ‘Behold, the Sea!’ and there it is in great washes of choral and orchestral sound. Fabulous work from @LSChorus and @londonsymphony under an impassioned Antonio Pappano. Soprano @MasabaneCecilia was, in every sense, majestic.

Swept away by the @LSChorus and @londonsymphony’s passionate, vivid and overwhelming performance of Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony under Pappano, capped by sensational singing from @MasabaneCecilia and Will Liverman. I can’t imagine the solo parts being better sung today.

Throwback to our two concert performances of Puccini's opera La Rondine last week, where Sir Antonio Pappano took the London Symphony Orchestra, a stellar cast of soloists and us through this story of love thwarted by society's conventions.
