Fortis made it beginnings from Newfoundland Power whose roots run deep. The utility has been providing electricity to the people of Newfoundland and Labrador for over 135 years.
St. John’s Electric Light Company was established in 1885. Through a series of operational expansions, purchases and amalgamations the business grew to become what we now call Newfoundland Power Inc. @Electricity_CA
