Ben Horowitz on treating your story as your strategy, and why founders often skip writing it even though it's one of the most important parts of the job:
"The story of the company is also the strategy of the company... In your mind, you're kind of adjusting that strategy a little bit at a time every day. But then a quarter later, it's actually pretty different than what you started with."
"So it's really important that you keep upgrading your story. The articulation of your story. I would definitely recommend it be in written form."
"Something that you can share with everybody in the company, and everybody you're recruiting, everybody you're trying to raise money from, all your constituents, every customer."
"The problem that I think founders have is it doesn't feel like work. Like, 'What are you doing today?' 'I'm working on my story.' That doesn't sound like work."
"Because it doesn't feel like work, people don't do it, but it's probably one of the most important parts of the job."

I'm definitely not anti-achievement and never criticized real achievements, including by Elon.
I even own two Teslas.
I do expose marketing stunts that, while cool on the surface, are not the achievements they are claimed to be.
Compressed air thrusters might give you acceleration boosts in any direction.
They might even make your car hover for a couple of seconds if you accept replacing the passenger seat by a 400 liter high-pressure air tank.
But they are not a path to actual flying cars.
The same way Burt Rutan's SpaceshipOne was never going to be a path to orbital flights (just bunny hops out of the atmosphere).
I am anti-Musk when it comes to politics. His political actions, the massive dissemination of disinformation through X and other channels, and his support for authoritarian regimes and racist ideas have the effect of weakening democracy and weakening human decency and social progress around the world.

IN EUROPE 🇪🇺 a flying car have been street-legal since 2022.
The AirCar is licensed to take off and land at airports across Europe and to operate as a normal car.
It can actually fly from airport to airport - not just jump over a few cars for 10 seconds 😂 #EUROPE WINS AGAIN😂

News: The French are rioting over high cost of living and under-resourced high schools.
The rioters: Yes, that's what we are rioting over.
The French government: Yupp, they're rioting over that.
Everyone: Yepp, that's whats happening.
The far right: Da Blacks! Da Muzlims!

High processing and industrial production output from #Africa is a key step to putting the continent on the position it deserves on the global market decision making stage and gain the respect so overdue, like #China

President Xi’s aim is to make the world dependent on China, while China depends on no one.
Without a coalition of countries to counter it, he will succeed.

Five to Ten Years, screen and monitor hardware are going to become utterly obsolete. VR and AR are going to become the de facto interfaces for visual human computer interaction.
Tech Prediction.

Every aerospace enthusiast can tell this top off the head.
Okay, so it's just compressed air.
Easier.
But crappy specific impulse (less than 50 seconds).
Even assuming that 50% of the mass of the car is the compressed air, that gives you less than 10s of useful thrust (with thrust-to-weight ratio larger than 1.0). Probably more like 5 seconds, actually.
So the car must be an empty, lightweight shell containing big compressed air tanks.
Cute demo, but totally impractical.
But of course, you knew that.
Hey @NetflixFR @netflix
When is that @fallyipupa01 documentary dropping? I see potential for so much story to tell through his successful career. Two decades are no jokes at that level are they? And it’s looking like the man is yet still in his prime.
The more Humanoid robots I see the more I start to believe we were really designed as an exemplary species of a creator somewhere. Cause, why obsess on Humanoids when we have specialised equipments and robots.
Hey @BarackObama & @MichelleObama amazing initiative bringing the story of African events to life for the world to see. Love the project United States of Africa.
Next, I highly recommend to go for stories of the DRCongo. Past 30 years events there are historically significant.
