And what's next? 📆 The Tech Strategy Initiative will continue this conversation at the MSC Technology Security Roundtable in Brussels on November 11, 2026.
Wolfgang @ischinger: "I take away from this meeting that there is not yet a consensus on how Middle Powers can play a role in the ASI discussion. In our group I experienced doubt whether a path truly independent of China and the US to ASI is realistic."
Alexandra-Gwyn Paetz: "Velocity is truly a key issue when looking at the emergence of ASI. Just a few months ago, I did not believe in its swift emergence. I do now."
@AranchaGlezLaya: "What I learned at this meeting compared to our conversations in Silicon Valley is that the ASI race has not been decided. So, there is still room for others to join."
@MarietjeSchaake: "The weaponization of AI capabilities and dependencies through AI export controls has fundamentally changed the geopolitical landscape."
Is a path truly independent of 🇨🇳 & 🇺🇸 realistic when it comes to Artifical Superintelligence? To explore prospects and geopolitical implications of #ASI, the Tech Strategy Initiative brought together their interdisciplinary expert group alongside #MLMNewDelhi
