This is an insane ad by Kansas Senator Roger Marshall, and when I first saw it, I thought it reeked of involvement by the candidate or the candidate’s spouse.
A classic case of a candidate feeling embattled and not feeling defended enough — it’s at this point that many candidates for office make the most reckless decisions.
And there’s no way professional Senate campaign staff or the NRSC would run such an ad.
And it turns out it’s much worse.
Per The New York Times, Marshall went around his campaign staff, hired his own film crew, then delivered the ad to his campaign and tried to get them to buy airtime for it. When they wouldn’t, he started passing the ad around to others, and that’s how it got posted on Twitter.
For those who aren’t aware, when Marshall was a practicing physician, he filed hundreds of lawsuits against patients. Some of those patients were arrested when they didn’t show up for court dates; others had their wages garnished.
Marshall frequently charged 18 percent interest on their bills.
Marshall’s billing practices were also first reported by the New York Times.

Trump in 2020:
"We've spent $8 trillion in the Middle East, and we're not fixing our roads in this country? How stupid. How stupid is it? And we're not fixing our tunnels, our bridges, our roads, our hospitals, our schools? It's crazy."
Abdul El-Sayed literally just repeated the gist of the claim that got him in hot water this week:
“It shouldn't be this hard to pay taxes and know that that money's gonna be spent on you and your kids, instead of dropping bombs on somebody else and their kids.”
That is the essence of the highly controversial ad that caused Haley Stevens to break with him and sparked condemnation from Jewish leaders across America.

Merely publishing a photo of an Israeli terrorist can get you arrested now. It is antisemitic to document reality. Insanity.

Once again this is a total lie. Dana Bash says there’s a “deep divide” among Dems over israel. @KannoYoungs agrees saying it’s a “fissure” in the “Democratic Party” “coalition”
This is empirically false: among actual Dem voters support for Israel is a FRINGE rightwing position

Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

Why is @AP describing U.S. strikes on Iran as “defensive” instead of making clear that's the USG's claim?
By treating the government's justification as fact, AP gives weight to a claim it *should* be questioning.

This is an embarrassing post in many respects, not least of which for its thirsty absorption of Haley Stevens’ PR spin.
But it’s also just obviously false that the line quoted here is equivalent, or really even close to, the now-infamous supermarket-eggs-Palestinians ad.

The Israeli govt is still carrying out a genocide in Gaza.
Their starvation, targeting, & murdering of Palestinians is still happening in broad daylight despite the so-called "ceasefire" in the region.
We must continue pushing to save lives & for a true, just, & lasting peace.
