VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. So there is ZERO confusion, let me make myself crystal clear. I believe the @jockeyclub, @hisa_us, @Keeneland and the @BreedersCup, along with @TOBAhorses , the @NTRA and members of the @TheNYRA board are all far more connected, coordinated and intertwined than they want anyone in this industry to believe. They all love to hide behind the same bullshit transparency. “We’re independent.” “Different leadership.” “Different boards.” “Different organizations.” Give me a f$&kin break. In my opinion, The Jockey Club stewards sit right in the middle of this entire ecosystem, with their fingerprints and influence reaching into almost every important part of Thoroughbred racing. And when the same people, relationships, interests and organizations keep showing up everywhere, I think the industry has every right to ask some very uncomfortable questions. Potential conflicts of interest. Potential self-dealing. Potential lying. Potential cheating. Potential corruption. Potential greed. Potential abuse of power. Potential manipulation. And potentially things being done behind closed doors that would look VERY different if the entire industry could actually see them. That’s why I’m saying it publicly. And if I’m completely wrong??? SUE ME!!!!! 😃 Seriously. I welcome it!!!!! Because then we get to my favorite word: DISCOVERY. Let’s see the emails. Let’s see the texts. Let’s see the board minutes. Let’s see the private conversations. Let’s see the financial relationships including loans and forgiven loans. Let’s see who is talking to who. Let’s see who is influencing who. Let’s see who benefits. Let’s see how many of these “independent” organizations are really independent when the doors are closed. Open the f$&king books. Let’s F$&kin Go!!!!! Because if I were sitting on one of these boards and somebody publicly accused my organization of operating like this and I knew it was completely false I would come after them immediately. So come after me!!!!! 😃 Because playing offense against me means opening themselves up too. And I know the LAST thing some of these people want is real discovery, real transparency and somebody who isn’t afraid of them digging through how this industry actually operates. And trust me, I have a hell of a lot more. A LOT f$&kin more!!!!! I hit the Jockey Club Stewards like Buster Douglas hit Mike Tyson. They were so full of themselves they never saw it coming from Mike from Queens. Tyson was never the same after that. Neither are the Stewards. I’m going to fight harder. It’s about the future of the entire sport and the people who love this sport and need this sport. So to all these organizations preaching transparency while hiding behind their “independent” leadership and “independent” boards: F$&kin sue me!!!!! 😃 Let discovery prove me wrong. In all my years in racing, today’s Saratoga card is one of the worst Friday lineups I can remember, and it’s right in the heart of the meet, the day before the Jim Dandy. Honestly, it looks more like a boring, early-spring Friday at Aqueduct. Let me be clear, this isn’t NYRA’s fault. They can only play the lousy hand they’ve been dealt. What we’re seeing is the result of 20 years of failed leadership, a shrinking foal crop, fewer owners, trainers, and tracks, weaker breeding, over-regulation with no science behind it, and a total lack of vision and leadership. The “secret clubs” scream for transparency, yet the real decisions are being made in secret, behind closed doors, by the very clubs and groups driving this sport into the ground. To the horseplayers and fans: I’m sorry. This isn’t what racing should be. I fell in love with this game as a 15-year-old kid at Aqueduct. I still love it, and I still gamble, just more through ownership now than through the windows. But I truly feel for you, the loyal bettors getting f$&ked at every turn. CAWs. Shitty fields. Inconsistent steward calls. Zero innovation. This is no way to treat your  customers. I know your passion. I know your loyalty. You deserve better. Honestly, you’d be better off today spending that money today with your family, your friends, a round of golf, a cold beer, a new pair of @nobull (you and I both deserve it   😂 😂 🤣), hitting the casino, or betting a baseball game.
