Another night of hopping out of bed and jumping on ski doo. @EddieSheerr wasn't wrong about being able to see the lights tonight 💚 (📸 @MsKatButler) – at Hopedale, Newfoundland and Labrador

Shoutout to P who took her paper bag book report for Wonder and ran with it. She’s been working so hard on this, even during morning STEAM bin time and recess. #literacy #Wonder #bookreport #elementary

We enjoyed a well earned comfy cozy day yesterday as we clued up our Wonder novel study by watching the movie. Stay tuned for some awesome and creative book reports 📚🍿 #Wonder #literacy #kindness #makingconnections

Not super active on here this year but watching North of North has us missing #Labrador tremendously. Received the sweetest mail today that did our hearts good. When past students want to send you their school pics you know you did something right ❤️

Gradually making our way across the province. Challenging ourselves and setting reading goals. We are hoping to be in Nova Scotia by December 📚#reading #elementary

Happy Halloween 🎃 #halloween

Winter wonderland here in Pollard’s Point this morning ❄️

I started doing Wednesday Night Writing a few years ago and it’s typically the only homework I give. Today, a student who normally dislikes drawing and writing and complained the most about homework, said “I think you’re going to be super happy and proud of me” ❤️✍️

They crushed Bananagrams today during literacy rotations 🍌 #wordwork #elementary @bananagrams

Discussed SEL and mental health yesterday. They did a great job designing their own “worries” #SEL #elementary

They were cracking me up today while playing camouflage for the first time. “Miss, I can see you. Miss, you’re right there.” Breaking out the Echo Pond camp counsellor games today #getoutdoors #elementary

Today we played @Kahoot for the first time and they were obsessed. They kept asking to play more. @SpellieGame has been such a hit during our Wordy Wednesday morning meetings that they have started playing it when they have free time using their Chromebooks. #elementary

What’s the dirt on soil? 🪱 #elementary

Data chats, morning bins, and self checking their writing ✍️ #elementary

We put our addition and multiplication strategies to the test this morning while calculating the number of kms we “travelled” (read) in the month of September. Our bus is on the move and we are between Grandfalls and Springdale #reading #elementary #socialstudies 📚 @NLSchoolsCA
