Here are the graves.
This Orange Shirt Day we are returning the Brandon Indian Residential School cemetery grounds to the Sioux Valley Dakota Nation on behalf of many First Nations whose children are buried here.
This is one of the most well documented burial grounds at a residential school in Canada with not only church and historical records but also contemporaneous newspaper articles describing what happened to these children.
You can not deny history.

Online harassment is not okay. Unfortunately, we have seen a rise in reports from members who have been targeted online and sent hateful or threatening messages—often for simply delivering provincially mandated curriculum or complying with the BC Human Rights Code…

Annie, support from a fellow Surrey teacher, keep on speaking the truth, advocating for all, and inspiring the young minds you teach, and older minds you work with to think critically, learn from history, and challenge racist ideology. Stay strong!

I can’t think of a more dedicated
#SocialJustice teacher who advocates for marginalized students and is vocal about #systemicoppression. As a master teacher, @ohana_annie teaches students how to think about systems critically with an intersectional lens. I #standwithAnnieohana

Widespread support for @ohana_annie I support Annie too. She is a great teacher who walks the talk, introducing her students to different cultures & an inclusive history. So important to #StopHate – at Surrey, British Columbia
We also support @ohana_annie as she helps us by making students aware of our program, helping them volunteer at our #multicultural festivals and where possible to elevate the message of #peace and #AntiRacism in our community. #loveall

Glad @ohana_annie is part of my #PLC and that she is sharing the online trolling many inclusive educators get to work with. Glad she’s staying strong and getting online support #supportannieohana

They clearly don't know you @ohana_annie. They don't work endless hours for a just, equitable, compassionate world. Instead, they display their cowardly ignorance. We display our admiration of ur tireless dedication boldly. You make a difference. They never will.

Annie Ohana is one of my most inspiring colleagues. She is strengths-based, intellectual, dialogic, open-minded, & enthusiastic. She shows up for the kids’ basketball games & runs CSI-style experiential learning simulations 🙌🏼. Deeply grateful for this friend. #SupportAnnieOhana
