School counselors support students' academic, social/emotional, & postsecondary planning needs. That's a BIG job! @ASCAtweets recommends a ratio of 250 students to 1 counselor. Sign & share the petition if you think we need more SCHOOL COUNSELORS in PA! 💯 change.org/p/governor-tom-wo…
The furnace at @AbbottElemABC is broken and smoke is pouring out of the vent.
Mr Johnson: "Either the rats elected a new pope, or the furnace is about to blow." 😂😭
Today is World Kindness Day! For the last month I've been posting reminders for students to spread kindness. I decided to spread kindness today by giving staff members cards w/positive affirmations. It was amazing to see the smiles & gratitude! It's the little things 😊❤️ #phled
The new school counselor on @AbbottElemABC is off to a great start! "My name is Elena Alomar. I'm the new counselor here. Abbott is the newest school in my rotation so now I'm responsible for the well being of 20 schools, which means I need to get out of here. Thanks." #phled
The life of a Philly School Counselor isn't as glamorous as @taylorswift13's but nothing's better than making a difference in a child's life! ❤️💯👍😳 🎅 #phled @PhillySCU @PFTLocal3 @PHLschools @watlington_sr @PHLschoolboard @RLStreaterEsq @AFTPA @GovernorShapiro @PADeptofEd

Today the Masterman school counselors threw a College Signing Day Celebration for the awesome Class of 2025! Student performances, a speech from the Class President, college shout outs, time with friends, selfie station, & more! Fun time for all! 🎓🎉 @PHLschools @PHLschoolboard
Colleges require midyear reports for seniors that contain 1st and 2nd marking period grades. They're due now, but @PHLschools has not released the reports yet. Any idea when this will be done? Our #phled seniors are anxiously waiting. @watlington_sr @PHLschoolboard

After @myPSCA's press conference about SB33 members went to senators' offices to discuss the bill. I met with staff for @SenatorSaval, @SenSharifStreet @SenatorHughes, @SenatorHaywood, & @SenTartaglione. Glad that @SenSharifStreet was available & gave his support to the bill!
When you believe in something w/ your whole heart you want to shout it from the rooftops to everyone! Ready to go at the PA Capitol! Students will thrive w/academic, social/emotional, & post-secondary support from school counselors! #SB33 #phled @PHLschoolboard @watlington_sr
Some School Districts assign @ASCAtweets defined inappropriate activities to school counselors, which impedes our ability to properly support all students. This will help students! @myPSCA @CBSPhiladelphia @6abc @NBCPhiladelphia @FOX29philly @WHYYNews @WTAE @fox53wpgh
